#MaskUp while traveling! Some people have the misconception that airplanes are safe because they filter the air, but filtering is not done the entire time and you can get sick from air before it’s filtered.
“CDC was able to determine that measles spread during air travel in at least one of those situations, the spokesperson said. That is usually based on connecting confirmed cases of measles among airline passengers sitting near each other.” This is in-flight, not airport transmission

definitely not. The firings cost us more money, they’re wrongful terminations and being fought in court. There are many steps that need to be taken to fire federal employees, it ensures that they are not being retaliated against unfairly.
Reorganizations, such as eliminating branches, requires a federal register notice to alert the public prior to taking action.
Trump and DOGE could do this legally, but part of the unlawfulness is to test what they can get away with. Call your reps!

“Scientists in the labs were surprised that they were laid off so abruptly, a CDC official said. Even during government-wide shutdowns from funding lapses, the department would at least have plans for making sure essential labs could be run or shut down properly, the official said.”
Essential employees weren’t supposed to be RIFed according to the OPM memo. DOGE doesn’t care about any rules though, their real job is to slash and burn.

Trump has said he’d appoint Elon Musk to be a deregulation czar if he wins. He’d be in charge of undoing federal regulations across the government.
Elon has also donated the legal maximum, $75 million, to Trump’s campaign and is actively trying to help get him elected, I’m sure Trump would pardon him.
