I often mention being at the ol' Imperial Palace. Some might think this is a flight of fancy, but it's the literal truth. I live in the ruins of a thousand year old Palace, built for an emperor.
Charlemagne built a palace here, one of eight, completed in 810 CE. While he's entombed at Aachen, and rarely visited here, some sources indicate that Ingelheim, with it's vineyards and bee gardens, was his favorite. I occasionally encounter his ghost. (He loves today's high octane weed, the cannabis in his day was "not like this!")
The Aula Regia (Throne Room) is "right across the street".
When the Palace was built, there was a small private chapel, and church services were held at St Remegius (est ca 740 CE, still active) The Palace Church, which is also "right across the street", wasn't added until the late 900s.
The defensive walls were added in the 1100s by Emperor Friedrich I Barbarossa. We live in the courtyard formed by the defensive walls.

Is anyone else having issues with the search function?
Is it server dependent?
It won't find ANYTHING for me lately (past week or so), even when searching for a term I use three to five times a day, minimum. Put it in quotes, still nothing. Use the "from:me" switch, still nothing.
Example, if I search for Audrey (or "Audrey"), it won't find a single post, but it'll show #Audrey in the "hashtags" section.
This happens in Tusky and Mastodon Web.

I have a fitting for new ortho boots this morning. 😜 They won't be ready yet, it's just a check to see if they fit properly before the actual assembly.
I went with laces instead of velcro: velcro is easy, but gets 'unsticky' quickly, cuzza lint.
Also, velcro makes me feel like I'm wearing 'old people shoes'.
I should start getting ready, my appointment is in ½ hour.

Yoshi One-Eye took a turn for the worse last night: her yaya was bloody, and there were maggots. We showered her, she did not protest, the plan being get her to the vet's first thing.
A short while later, she bolted out the door, and hasn't been seen since. I did a cursory check last night.
I've just returned from walking the Palace grounds, searching, to no avail.
I fear she wandered off to die.
I did run into another cat, who I didn't recognize, but who did accept head scritches.
