I compiled my raw and behind the scenes journals of my first year diving down rabbit holes of Web3 and published them as a book. I am 63 years old and dove deep, got scammed, went to conferences, even was a speaker at NFTCON MIAMI 2022. I created Onboard60 to help other senior citizens to stay up to date with what’s happening. Even though I have created a project over the last 2 years to help senior citizens stay up to date in today’s world, Onboard60, I know I have a long way to go myself. Jist watched nostr.build and rabble. Fabulous. I have been on nostr and damus for awhile but as someone who isn’t a dev or technical I have felt lost and not understanding nostr or damus. Nostr.build explained the different apps in a way I understood and lostening to rabble I felt like I could find my mojo here. I did not know of a lot of the apps and what’s in store for Nostr. I am so grateful for the streaming of #nostrasia from tokyo. Stay weird, heard that talk too. LOL.

I never liked sewing. Not into threads, no instagram either. The FOMO of a shiny object is real . I jumped to BluSky. It’s eh, doesn’t remind me of the old twitter days but it’s good for a moment or two. Not what I am looking for. This roll out of threads let’s me see who’s really into and wanting the principles of decentralization and such. Interesting to watch. Threads will be immensely successful only because now the instagram peeps are tied to threads, delete one, the other goes too. Let’s see the level of engagement in 90 days and will it be instagram or threads or both. I ask who owns ActivityPub protocol?? The Fediverse? Just my thoughts.

Initially, I didn’t understand what most posts were about here and on Damus. However, after a lot of reading and learning, and seeing dev talk turn into more social stuff I see this may be a fabulous opportunity to be able to feel less like left behind and more understanding what’s happening in the world, be a part of it rather than be an old one who retreats. Thanks for letting me join.

I signed out of Blue Sky social after a few days, knowing it’s not decentralized , why bother, ya know? I’d rather be in a unfamiliar app that’s decentralized and learn how to manage than do the same thing over again & expect different results. Cray cray I say. Be fabulous today. 😎

Was asked to rejoin an Alpha Group on Telegram. I did and now I remember why I got off of it. With each convo they have I feel intimidated and so behind. They have acce$$ to things to enable them to do so much and I can’t stand to feel inadequate. Knowing no one follows me here I can share my inner most vulnerabilities. If they only understood. I’m not in their tax bracket and don’t know how to do half of what they do. There’s so much that I have accomplished but so much not. 🥺
