Look, ‘AI is gonna kill us all’ has nothing to do with AGI, or any of that shit. It’s gonna kill us all because the humans that are making it are aligned with chasing incomprehensibly large amounts of money and therefore forcing its use through government and private influence into places it doesn’t belong without any boundaries.
AI will kill us all because the humans in charge are greedy fucknuts.
End of line.

There are many speeches that Dr. King made to inspire generations into action, but I wish to share with you a lesser known one that is nonetheless very relevant today: The Riverside Church Speech.

Yuuuuup!
Anecdotally there’s a swath of folks online who ostensibly fetishise ‘productivity’. Consequently, they create ever-more complex mechanisms around the notion of productivity — rather than actually doing the thing you need to do.
This behaviour is echoed in the JS industrial complex where folks download 30 different NPM modules just to document.write()
Pen and paper have the least overhead, and manually writing/drawing has been shown to help understanding/retention.
