you just mean from a mobile use standpoint, no privacy benefit though right? Haven’t used tailscale yet but my understanding is its essentially a vpn utility for LAN

my question assumes a baseline of node setup to use TOR only rather than select clearnet option

#[0] users. Worthwhile discussion on the new astral client in the recent update. My expectation is that this service is accessed on clearnet via TOR exit node as astral appears to be clearnet only, OR, users would skip TOR altogether and go right to clearnet. Can anyone confirm how this is playing out?

I have. Built a tapsigner, MK4, nunchuk wallet as a daily driver. Easy to setup and love the security multiplier of a mobile multisig. Still some small glitches in nunchuk for me but none that have impacted funds so far

pretty slick. I highly recommend it. If you are comfortable with nfc use as well its a UX game changer. Ephemeral seed in recent software update opens up lots of opportunity imo too

seedsigner
Node Box
EmbassyOS
Python
just a few of the projects I hope to undertake this year. What else are #plebchain #nostrplebs digging into?

not a bad idea to test a transaction by sending all funds from a test utxo to another address in the same wallet. Ensure signing works (highly recommended in multisig setup) It sounds dumb now, but I can’t tell you how many times I sent test utxos between wallets before I realized I could just send utxos to the same wallet as a test

#[0] thoughts on using yubikey as offline, nfc private key storage for Damus/nostr integration? I am thinking user could tap to sign with each broadcast note. Elevated level of security for those interested. Keys should be compatible right?

aside from the obvious KYC aspect, anyone have an experienced take on Compass or River mining accounts? Energy cost/initial capital investment compared to sats return? Considering pivoting my DCA to a mining setup. Currently too mobile to setup at home miner (one day!)

I think Breez is great, and as someone who likes the details I am a big fan. Podcasting 2.0 integration and PoS are great features. Wallet sync is a necessary feature of your own node, but mild friction for new users. I think Muun’s security setup, single unified QR scan window and lack of sync make it an easier onboard 🍻
