I would probably just cut the "obviously the biggest" an switch to "Proton is a very impactful user" or say "significant user" which expresses what you actually try to say.

This statement is strange to me, because to me it's not obvious at all. Especially given that software based on GNUPG is used all around government work in Germany and potentially any NATO country.
Are there any statistics on that?

Another chapter of AI slop ruining everything:
#Unifi decided to remove the search function in their Documentation in favour of a #LLM powered chat box.
And I imagine after a while they noticed that this was expensive to run, so they limited it to 5 requests per day.
You might spotted it already: Effectively you can now only search the unifi documentation 5 times a day. 🎉

@nprofile…klgm Yes, it is, there might be sharding in place, that makes it a partial outage, but I'm sure, I'm affected and it seems a few thousand other people on the various outage detector pages, as well :)

@nprofile…06an Not that I disagree with the argument that Signal could be run without hyperscalars, and especially when looking at the rising fascism in the US, it might be time to look for something that isn't solely relying on good will from people having dinner at the white house, BUT the mentioned toot and also comparisons to protocols like XMPP tend to fall short of understanding the complexity that the Signal infrastructure has to contain and the effort needed to fundamentally restructure these.

@nprofile…a2rd with the Zalando-postgres-operator. It's really fun and incredibly stable.
The legwork is done by patroni and the SPILO images that manage backup and restore as well as fail over.
I've never ran more solid databases. Deleted the volume? Spilo just recovers from the basebackup + WAL archive before start postgres. No manual recovery needed.

There is already a team of moderators and I'm sure you can find some like minded people.

@nprofile…m8mr I'm not sure how that is hostile. There is a workaround provided, and it looks like people have looked into the problem.
It mainly sounds like there was no real interactive communication happening, so it's all in the issue. It could probably be resolved by two people in a room or video conference where one can build fwupd versions and one can produce the issue and has an idea what is the ideal way of handling it.
