I should clarify - the Teams meeting this morning was just with my boss, to ensure we could both get into Teams etc. The ACTUAL important meeting we were going to was this afternoon. For THIS meeting, I wore shirt, blazer, PJ pants, and slippers, as is the correct attire for any business video call. (Not actual photo of me)

How's your morning going? I just got on a Teams call, got the camera working.... and realised I was still in my PJs...

The earpad covers left us long ago, and now my trusty Logitech G-Pro headphones have finally died (actually the sound is still fine, the headband part snapped so I can't wear them which is kind of problematic).
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good replacement please? I need a set with a good quality microphone. I've been happy with these. Are the newer models still good or is there another brand / model I should consider please?

Got the sign off from the doc to turn out with the fire brigade again after my shoulder injury in January. Turned out to my first fire call in 3 1/2 months today. Just missed the truck - and they got turned back anyway, but felt great to at least get on the bike again and reinforce that yes, I still remember how to ride and no, I haven't forgotten where the fire station is :)

Thank you! Partly too, I think I'm used to wearing my watch on my left wrist, but since I did my left shoulder, I've been wearing it on my right wrist, so my left feels a bit bare :)

I got some new jewellery! (no, I wasn't expecting to proclaim that either) It's a bracelet? bangle? with a matching ring which both have Ichthys (line drawn fish often drawn in the sand by early Christians). Since we traditionally cover crosses and crucifix towards the end of Lent, and I normally wear a ring with a cross on it, I thought this made a nice physical reminder of the season. It said it was for men, I've never had a bangle before - what do you think?

I saw this quote from Isaiah 40:31 the other day: "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint". I thought it was mocking my running accident last week. But then I saw this quote from Proverbs 26:27 "If you set a trap for others, you will get caught in it yourself. If you roll a boulder down on others, it will crush you instead." Only now, do I realise, it is telling me to rest and relax and watch cartoons! The bible is full of wisdom for every situation!

Indeed, and mostly a reminder for ME :D Probably need to cut down on the news service breaking news alerts - it's too easy to see something, and then go hunting for more info, and then with something like the Bondi attack, you can be there all day with unending coverage when, in fact, if you're not in the immediate area, and may not know anyone in the immediate area, there is really little for you to know or do - and in a situation like that, even if you ARE in the area, once the immediate threat is over, there's still not much for you to do. I can understand a bit more with a longer emergency like a cyclone, tsunami or bushfire in your area, but again, there are generally emergency sources of information such as the VicEmergency, Fires Near Me or other types of apps which give the info you really need without blanketing you with emotional content.

not sure if @npub1luk…4mvt can see it, but fwiw, it shows up in my timeline just as one of your regular posts would rather than a message to them directly which (I think?) normally wouldn't? (Or at least, I always avoid putting a profile link first in a post as I thought it would then only go to that user - but I could be wrong!)

Sure:
1) tap on a hashtag in a post
2) tap on the "pin" icon near the top right
3) tap on the home icon (bottom left) to go back to the home screen
4) tap on the hashtag up the top of the screen (actually can skip this step, I just do it)
5) long press on the hashtag at the top of the screen
6) select "any of these"
7) type in more than four terms (ideally for testing, add something you know has a very recent post)
8) Press "validate"
9) refresh the view
10) note that only posts matching any of the first four terms in your list are shown

actually my biggest fedilab issue is only being able to have four hashtags in a list. I need half a dozen list tabs to follow the hashtags I want to watch (and i can't just follow them normally, because I need to follow any account I don't across which MAY post to those hashtags in hopes that I will see their relevant posts (in my hashtag lists) when they do. It's a bit messy
