“Psychodrama” has always obscured more than it resolved- right from the start it was the way that BBC Politics in that era babbled its way around the conviction that couldn’t cover Brexit in detail without being biased and that the public needed to be talked down to.

I am really unconvinced by freeports, but it is fascinating how Brexit has coded a thing that Labour did for longer than the Tories as “rightwing”. (Particularly as I would say my objection to them used to be a thing that marked me out as rightwing)

Kemi Badenoch’s “we were a bad government because we didn’t dismantle the Blair-Brown governing apparatus” is so funny to me. The Blairite civil service machine didn’t stop Cameron and Osborne dismantling most of New Labour’s public policy legacy or *BREXIT* for goodness’ sake.
