oui, j'allais dire que si des impressions de bonne qualité existent à la vente, je suis prêt à acheté, plutôt que faire un honteux détournement de bien sociaux via l'imprimante couleur du boulot. 😁

but even if you sold something, you would not need to put up a cookie banner : to sell something you require some information to complete the sale (address where to ship, and/or info about the means to pay for the good or service sold). None of that would be illegitimate.

I see legit, domain-specific uses for GenAI, e.g., drafting a specific kind of contract, with some specific tone/vocabulary to use. You'll still have to read and fix things, but as a « meta template » generator, I can see the appeal.
My only question is: how is it that different from having a template database handy with a good search engine?

people who say such things don't understand the part where, when you know rather precisely what you're doing, and what you're doing requires some amount of creativity, GenAI wastes your time, as at best you spend as much time re-prompting/fixing errors and approximations as you would have spent writing whatever you wanted in the first place.

someone once told me how, as a chemE student, they had gotten ahold of a little bit of solid calcium. With their friends/roommates (also chemE), they were having a laugh using a water sprayer on this pièce of Ca, and making it explode into ever smaller bits. One of those bits landed in an open Nutella jar. Nutella doesn't have nearly enough (liquid) water to make the Ca explode. The mouth of the roommate eating directly from the jar with a spoon, however... 😬
