Hey Permanerd! Thank you for checking it out.
This issue is known to us and we’re smoothing it out.
Basically, we just need to smooth out the passkey creation process.
Fix should be up early this coming week (alongside a huge redesign). Stick with us and it should resolve your issue. If it doesn’t please hit me up directly.
Regarding Alby wallets, no, we can’t connect those to stream payments reliably.
But once the passkeys are dialed it should be extremely smooth.

This note is a MASSIVE shoutout to one of the best people in the space, @npub1hqa…t56s.
Avi is, in my eyes, a true legend. A man who has put his money where his mouth is. A man who walks the walk.
He has just released the 3rd episode of his show titled “Finding Home” in which he travels the world to find the most inspiring people among us and highlight their journeys, their perspectives, and their stories.
We’re in the earliest innings (actually, its possible we’re still in the parking lot pre-gaming) of what is going to be a foundational shift in the economics of storytelling.
Unfortunately, the business of storytelling is not exempt from the ravages of fiat. The current model is irreparably broken. It is highly centralized. It is highly corrupt.
Our goal at IndeeHub is to restructure the incentive system in the digital age of media distribution. We believe that if you have talent, skill, and tenacity that you should have an opportunity to be rewarded by the marketplace. On IndeeHub, your attention = value. For every second you watch Finding Home, Avi and the filmmakers who collaborated to produce this show are compensated.
Producing a show is HARD. Being consistent with it requires tremendous focus, tenacity, and follow-through. Committing to exhibiting it on @npub1ah5…l8pw, thereby supporting the very earliest efforts to fundamentally change the entertainment industry in the digital era, is incredible.
Bravo, @npub1hqa…t56s. We salute you. We support you.
Please, if you have time, come check out his work and see for yourself what the future of storytelling looks like in a more decentralized and sovereign world.
Stream now or rent with lightning. All three episodes available below.

Congrats to EVERYONE involved. You are legends. We are proud to be a part of your journey. Thank you for walking the walk and working to build a better world.

2026-01-14 19:36:20 UTC

You are witnessing, in real time, the birth of an entirely new model for media. One that is born out of admiration for storytellers; One that respects artistry; One that offers an incentive system precisely the opposite of fiat economics.
Come check out @npub1hqa…t56s's work on @npub1ah5…l8pw, where filmmakers are paid, via lightning, for every second you watch their work.

Ah, got it. Apologies for the confusion.
I’d have to listen to the segment to clarify, but I may have been referring to actually hosting the content for users and having to charge them for that. 🤔
But yeah, we’re pretty familiar with it and yes, from a payments perspective the best part about it is not having any custodial issues.

Yo Chad!
Would you mind clarifying the above notes? I wasn’t quite sure what you were referring to.
We are fans of RSS2.0 and have it currently implemented as an option for filmmakers to publish films with.
Although that’s a significantly different business model, we are still fans.

We don’t custody any Audience Member funds or have an internal wallet (yet. We are still very much in beta 🫡)
We use lightning to pay filmmakers and anyone on the film’s cap table. This solves a number of issues filmmakers currently have with legacy systems.
Audiences can pay a monthly subscription with fiat or lightning (via pay with flash) for unlimited viewing. With a free account audiences can browse the platform, watch trailers, and rent anything that filmmakers have enabled rentals on. Rentals can be paid via lightning or fiat as well.
Go ahead and sign up for a free account and you can browse. Avi’s project will be available for rental which you can of course pay with lightning and have access to for 48 hours.
DM me if you’d like more access. Happy to show you around.

Hey Cody! IndeeHub is a cinema-centric platform catering to films & episodic projects. Filmmakers are paid via lightning either by rentals or simply by watching a project if they are paying subscribers. We do not incorporate advertising for freedom of expression reasons.
Audiences need accounts so we can credit rentals and to keep track of behavior to pay filmmakers.
You do not need to use any info that would compromise identity.

Yo! If you do this we’d love to help contribute/sponsor/host media. We’re a brand new independent film exhibition platform built on top of lightning, enabling splits for stakeholders of independent cinema.
