It's 95 degrees F in the UK. It seems that this is nearly as bad as german rockets pounding london.
They are warning people not to go in the water to cool off as it's dangerous (11 people have suffered "water related" deaths. perhaps they are drowing themselves to escape such heat (which is pretty commonplace here and in much of the world) and drowning in water beats drowning in sweat.

Just before I turned 10, we moved away. I went to visit him once and he came to visit me once, in the year that followed, but them we moved even further away and that was that.
Later I found out that he had become a democrat politician, so I decided that the nuns were much worse and was really glad that hadn't happend to me.

Life Thread
We moved alot when I was growing up, so friends were transient things. For 3 years we lived in one house. My best friend lived across the street. Outside of school, you would likely find us together, getting into trouble. We went to different schools. From what we could tell, the most significant difference was that his school had nuns that whacked your knuckles with a ruler, at least once per week. My school had a principle that beat your ass with a paddle about once per month.1/?

There is humor in everything. My son is Autistic. When he was little his prognosis was really crappy. His mother and I worked with him and worked with him and he has succeded beyond what anybody thought possible. We would never have survived that without finding humor in it. It is refined enough to only need about 2 weeks of additional refining to be ready to make bombs. Iran has also made great strides in missile development.

whether or not there was foreign involvement investigation that was squashed, doesn't change who pulled the trigger, so what bearing would it have on robbinson's guilt/innocence? Courts are very particular about what they allow and what they don't.

The median household income in the US is nearly double what it is in the Netherlands.
The median house price is higher than in the us and in the Netherlands it's typically a much smaller house with a much smaller lot.
Cars and other stuff cost much more in the netherlands as well, allowing for a much higher disposable income in the US.

I am, however, a bit surprised that Gold is dropping, as it usually increased in times of uncertainty.

I think its impossible to predict when a climb will end and stablize or drop back. It can be affected by so many things (geo political events, financial upheavels, etc. )

Our Christmas tree was 12 feet tall. When we got it my son was here to help carry it. I had to take it out by myself. It was too heavy, so I vacuumed out the remaining water and layed it down then cut it in half. Tossed half to the goats and half to the sheep. They're still munching on it. It took about 20 minutes to get it out but lugging a 7ft wide tree thru a 5 foot wide hall and 3 foot wide door and sawing it in the house made a huge mess. Cleaning that up took 2 hours. For many years dems had the cool factor in the public perception, particularly in the young. This has been obliterated, mostly by memes. Now they come across as pathetic. Finally, the image matches the substance.

@nprofile…mqc0 This is a fallacy. Christian Nationalism, isn't a religious idea, its a political one. One in which the law is rooted in historical christian morality. It isn't doctrinal, nor is it specific enough for any of the differences in these segments of christianity to make a hill of beans of difference.

I was just in a pretty intense car accident. Seems I may have a couple of fractured ribs and banged up my leg pretty bad. I dont think it1s broken but1 it sure hurts to move it. Im waiting for xray results. Sadly my car is history. I really liked my car.

@nprofile…nx93 @nprofile…lu4e I recall reading somewhere, a few years ago, that the chinese gov't was forcing tibetan women to marry chinese men (they have a shortage of chinese women). If this is so, it's unlikely that there will be any Tibetens around for long, if there still are any.

For our 25th anniversary we booked a trip. We only have animal care for 6 days. 2 are travel days, leaving only 4 days at the beach front resort. Perhaps that's a good thing as the total cost is just a little over 19k. Fortunately, most of it is covered by points. And we go in February but our anniversary is in April, but wife wants to escape the cold.
