I hate to grumble once again about this, but I feel like this is another person who just asked for the output and never considered alternatives. Asking LLMs to review your spec and ask questions about things missing in your design is brutal. They always come up with: simple things I missed, things that may need thinking about, and things that are so left field they make me reconsider the whole project. And they'll keep working on the design forever if that's what you want!

Alternatively, I realised most of my office usage is just muscle memory. What I really wanted and migrated to is self hosted:
- Obsidian for notes / graphs
- Paperless-ngx as a paperwork interface
- Grist as a simple database / what lots of Excel usage should've been
Maybe there's some similar/different set of more specific tools you wanna use?

Do you want to not use Google docs, or any cloud solution at all? If you want something online, Zoho has a good office suite. Otherwise, Libre Office is still the least bad one.

Give it some time... I'm on the 3rd pair of wireless headphones that died (currently the right one just plays ticking instead of sounds; waiting to get home to replace them). My wired earbuds went through the wash 3 times, lost all colour, have cracked plastic, but 15 years and they still work! (I'm using them for work calls because macos is artificially restricted from good sound codecs and switches to weird mono during conferences over Bluetooth)

I hated the recent migration partially because of the screens/icons not transferring properly. (At all) Moved to Nova launcher when and the last migration was perfect - it was all restored without issues. Worth the time investment IMO if you're already setting up something new.

there are some true believers - for example Farcaster has a genuine community. But I think mostly it's been people pushing grift. I moderated a crypto-adjacent discord and basically could see two groups: people doing interesting work and people promoting whatever happened to be popular/profitable, scam or not. There was so much more of the second group - they're probably off to the new things now.

you can setup your own Grafana instance and/or discard the IP/login from the data. The performance data doesn't have to include any common "tracking".
It's one of the best things you can start using for debugging weird issues for some random segment of real users. Yes, I'm pushy - it saved my butt so many times already.

I recommend Grafana faro, datadog, or any other RUM plugin which can give you the client side resource tree and timing (and js errors) as seen by real world people. It's super helpful for situations like this.

When compared to free stock images, I don't see the difference. If one works better than the other for some use case, then no judgement from me. As long as it's good quality anyway - both low quality stock and genai are sad.
