imo the SP address should be decoupled completely from the identity key and only announced via nostr. As built here it's derived from the npub. so it's still deterministic and computable from the npub by anyone, which is the nasty property of doxxcoin. And then it leans on the nsec for the sweep, exposing it to shell history etc.
let me know if I'm missing something. I eat crayons.

I don't think people see what I'm seeing on the horizon for the nsites paradigm, and it's pretty tough to put into words. Everyone should be vibing their own nsite meta browser right now, or some linux based nostr OS.
I think client development was the first epoch of nostr, building windows onto the protocol. The plethora of web-apps and packages, downloaded and run across browsers and operating systems that share nothing. Each of them re-implements trust, identity, storage from scratch or tries to bridge the signing experience.
The next epoch is nsite browsing. And the endgame is nostr-native OS. It completely shifts how we use the protocol.
Nsites change where the app lives. It's a signed object now, addressed by a key, loaded and verified on your own machine. No host to trust. No gateway to demote it back into one. The browser verifies every blob itself and 'bad' servers get skipped, not trusted.
So the layers collapse. Client, app, browser trust decisions become one nsite browser or OS running on your hardware, signing and verifying. You stop downloading separate apps or clients and start loading artifacts into a context that's already yours, already signed in.
That's the epoch I see around the corner. Apps that compose because they share the same signed-in context. nostr is the entry point with no app store, no client. The same nostr, used the way it was always shaped to be.
Yes, you still install the browser or OS once. But it needs to be nostr-native from the first touch. Same shape as http today, one runtime, infinite signed artifacts. The boundary you used to redraw per-app is now drawn once, at the runtime.
The protocol doesn't change itself, just how it's applied. Software stops being something you download and assemble and simply starts being something you enter, signed in, private by default.

Genuinely usable today. It's a full browser shape with tabs, address bar, back/forward, bookmarks, site-info pane, diagnostics. Address bar takes npub, hex, NIP-05, NSIT names, or gateway URLs and resolves them locally; every blob is SHA256-verified against the signed manifest before render, each site gets its own sandboxed origin with strict CSP by default. Heavy iteration this past week

There is no such thing as an 'on-chain zap' to me. That's just a typical transaction.
That's at least my opinion right now (I'm just a smooth brain pleb who is open to changing my mind). but it sounds ironic to call it a zap. Almost like saying a car is a train.
I agree that 'on-chain zaps' are close to the worst Bitcoin privacy pattern I could think of. Address reuse + identity + UTXO graph exposure. It opens the door to spray dust attacks and the only defense is to never spend or move them, generate new wallets constantly, or coinjoin them (if the amount is large enough). Basically, never use them if you value privacy.
Lightning already works great, and I prefer it. If on-chain is desired, silent payments is the answer I think. npub derived addresses fail catastrophically in comparison.
We all love bitcoin. But as of now, I have no plans to ever open, look at, or touch a wallet derived from this keypair. Feel free to zap me though.

I bought a Mac mini, but not to run OpenClaw or Clawdbot.
I'm setting it up as a fully sovereign Nostr dev environment. My own relay. My own mesh VPN with Nostr identity. My own compounding knowledge base. My own 24/7 pair programmer on my own hardware, accessible from my desk or remote location.
The stack:
nostr-rs-relay (github.com/scsibug/nostr-rs-relay) as my always-on local relay
nostr-vpn (github.com/mmalmi/nostr-vpn) as my Tailscale-style mesh VPN over Nostr
ngit (github.com/gitworkshop/ngit) a Nostr-native version control
Amber NIP-46 signer on my phone, nsec never touches a computer. So my code will be signed by my npub.
llm-wiki (github.com/nvk/llm-wiki) as my compounding knowledge base
A swappable AI agent, local or hosted as my AI layer, running on my hardware via SSH
Shakespeare.diy showed me what building on Nostr could look like. This is me taking those same primitives and running them myself. Same agentic workflow, same Nostr stack, but every layer is mine. When I ship, I'll push signed commits from my phone, reference a knowledge base that already knows every design decision I made, and announce from the same identity that built it. Everything runs on my hardware, my relay, my keys. Is this what building on Nostr is supposed to feel like?
What am I missing from this stack? Will write up my experience once all is said and done.

I use Sonnet 4.6 and Opus 4.6 directly through the Shakespeare AI tokens for the most part. These seem to do the best work for larger tasks. I've been experimenting with xAI models (which are very cost effective, and function well for UI and lighter tasks) as well as @npub16g4…kv4h as a provider. Neither are quite as well performing as the built in Sonnet or Opus (Haiku is also great for lighter work). I also have only used the Nostr git and Shakespeare deploy methods so far, which seem to work flawlessly.
I prefer to chunk out the work in separate chats. So once a feature or related work is finished I create a New Chat. As I do this, I make sure my README.md file for the repo is always updated/accurate as needed after making features and function changes (prior to starting a new chat). It also helps to have a spec file that I feed it, which places the file in the repo and is used to reference as I start new chats and feature work. (I craft versions of this separately in Claude Desktop often). This helps with preserving work done, while staying aligned with the future concept.
If you hit console errors, have it review. Often times it's lingering from a previous build. If that's the case a hard refresh of the page should clear it, while preserving your chat.
