DoorDash Grandma isn't a paid plant. (For that, you need to be paid!) Instead, her story is far worse.
She's a depressing example of how MAGA cultists have internalized the lies that justify their own oppression.

Sorry, Fox News, but Gen Z women aren't longing to be tradwives.
Right wing media is all excited about a "study" showing young women want to be tradwives.
But it is total — and I mean total — bunk.

The right's pitch for women's submission is that it will cause men to provide, protect, and cherish women.
Turns out the opposite is true. Research shows conservative men see tradwives as lazy parasites. They loathe them.

It's a risk, but a prediction: The White House ballroom will never be built.

MAGA is fawning over Erika Kirk right now, but there's no way she can keep Charlie's audience.

Ghislaine Maxwell is a liar and sex criminal. But MAGA is using her gender to lull people into thinking she's trustworthy.

The lesson from Gaetz's collapse: Not just that resistance can work, but how to do it in a smart and effective way.
Building on prior analysis of authoritarians' weaknesses, I look at why Gaetz imploded and how that can be used going forward.

Why read instead of just snarking in mentions: I am serious that this isn't "hypocrisy."
Instead, I outline how the Christian right has crafted a theology where sexual predators are blameless, and it's the victims — women and girls — who are faulted.

Mike Johnson is being called a hypocrite for covering for Matt Gaetz.
But I argue that, at this point, covering for bad men should be considered a religious tradition for the Christian right.

Trump's insulting nominations are coming fast, but let's take a moment to look at Pete Hegseth, picked because of his chin and his hatred of the U.S. military.
The Fox News host is MAGA "manhood" embodied. It pretends to be tough, but is weak and whiny.

Voters backed both Trump and progressive policies like minimum wage hikes and abortion rights. This disconnect is the answer to the "how did this happen" question.
A lot of voters are profoundly ignorant. More so than in the past. I explore why.

Why read past headlines (and share with men who need to get it):
Trump's plan is to tank the economy. Elon Musk says that is the *goal*.
Maybe they don't listen to women. But I quote multiple men, including Musk, who reveal the economic truth.

Far too many voters think that because Trump is terrible for women, it means he's good for men.
But Trump offers men *nothing*.
He can tank the economy, dudes, but he can't make your wife come back.

Why read past headlines: I get into how *petty* the MAGA case for fascism is.
It's mostly dudes whining that someone else criticized them. Seriously.
Harris reminded us that what they actually want, though, is total control of your lives and bodies.

Competing rallies: Trump and his allies made the case for fascism: as a way to punish on those who talk back to white men.
Harris reminded us of the consequences: violence, lost freedom, and chaos — and offered her alternative.

Why read past headlines, especially before commenting: I use the abortion issue as a lens to examine fantasy vs. real-world politics.
Fascism depends on fantasy. Support for it crumbles when people start dealing with consequences.

For decades, the Beltway press insisted GOP opposition to abortion was a "deeply felt" conviction.
Feminists like me argued otherwise: it was just a low-stakes way for conservatives to express misogyny.
Recent shifts in polls prove feminists right.

Why read past headlines: Blake did a tremendous job on the history of why evangelicals would support Trump.

Melania Trump's weird "defense" of her nude photos suggests that the Trump campaign is out of ideas.
