Can't describe how breathtakingly stunning Altandhu was. So nice to unplug from the world for a few days, take a cold plunge in the atlantic, soak up the sun and play some music to a captive crowd. Was humbling to follow Kate Taylor, hearing stories from her early career and family life with her brother James. This weekend I'm heading as far north as I've ever been to play at 'Made In Altandhu' festival in the wilds of Scotland. The weekend after, I'm in London at a country festival in Camden. Might be a poor musician but I feel like I'm rich in experiences. Grateful to be able to play my music far and wide to anyone who is willing to listen! 🙏

I always assumed a simple on-ramp solution would be possible and the next logical step but I'm not a dev and don't know the legality behind it. Seems like Primal managed it somehow. Would be cool to learn more about that. I think in person fiat tips always work well. Dollar bill in the hat on the stage kinda thing. But digitally, seems like there's too much friction, and then we're back to zaps 😂

I guess the payment is the whole point though right? I dunno, I'm worried that if the problem isn't solved it will remain a small circular economy among bitcoiners. Maybe not in several years when lightning payments are ubiquitous, but at least in the short term

There's got to be an easy way for folks to send their favorite artists a few sats without having to go to an exchange / kyc and jump through a million hoops. There needs to be a solution like what @nprofile…mqq0 has done with Primal. This is the most important hurdle to overcome imo.

Wow. What an incredible few days it's been! From the @npub1yfg…v6vg and @npub1h8g…ps02 concert, to the V4V panels, finshing with the bitcoin bands stage, a weekend I'll never forget. It was so great to finally meet all the people who have been supporting my music from afar. Though it was my first time meeting everyone in person, it felt like a reunion. I can't thank enough all the folks that have given me their time, support and a platform for my music. Shout out to Sam and Michael at Wavlake, Oscar and Nick at Fountain, Open Mike, Jim and Julie Costello. There's too many others to mention here, but you know who you are, thank you. It was a pleasure to perform alongside the incredible @npub13qr…almy, @npub1a37…5r4w and all the other V4V artists. I feel so lucky to be a part of this movement, which I know is going to change the music industry for the better. yeah, the music industry has been bleeding out for years. There's no elegant solution to solve the digitization of music being monteized until V4V. Spotify keeps 'cutting costs' which means less money making it to smaller artists and all the money is consolidated into the pockets of a few huge artists. I think value for value is our best shot at clawing some power back. Big part is to let your fans know and ask them to support you V4V. The tech is nearly ready for normies 🤙

The '1000 true fans' idea will be realized with value for value imo and will bring back the 'middle ground' for artists making a meaningful portion of their revenue stream through recorded music again which has been lost with the rise of current day streaming platforms.
