I'm seeing that now too. From what I can see there is no way to prioritize the route or "peer" based on QoS like throughput or latency, or is it just the npub . Is this something that will be improved over time or is it made for communications with lower QoS with a focus on privacy. I couldn't do a slow read of everything yet, but the root selection would seem to not scale well if you had large meshes., nor would path selection be optimized for throughput. I may need to read more.

Lightning node operators. It is my understanding that when the BIP110 gets signalled on knots, if there's not enough hash, your lightning node will become orphaned. This will cause a big mess on your node and issues with channel states and opening and closing channels. It will likely cause a loss of funds if you don't know what you're doing. Please run core 29 on your lightning nodes.

there is certainly risk in hosting your own infra. It's always that way. Before you open a port to the world, you must understand the services running on that port. I have what I consider to be a large node that I self host, https://mempool.space/lightning/node/027230e7207075b18b089399c4244ca4b45f5e629108ef020f6812aba67037a499 but I'm also a professional IT guy IRL and am quite broad. Even https://wallet.sovereigncraft.com/ and https://sovereigncraft.com/ all come from the same IP if you check DNS but are all reverse proxied, j\ust as my Proxy, webserver, Minecraft server and other services like my personal Nextcloud and more are all on the same IP but on separate internal networks, and have various rules between them. A Lightning node IS a bank and should be secured as such. I still have risk by having a node. But even I myself do not have full access to my node from the outside world without VPNs etc.

Gemini 3 pro wrote this entirely thus far with ZERO code written directly by me. 6 hours of testing, re-tweaking and adding features but no code human written in this project. I also didn't give it any API hints, packages it did all that on its own. I would say, make an md5 hash check so the avatar only gets updated when needed. Stuff like that. It's the most technical I got.

I need to think about this a little more, but I think there MAY be a way to securely run my Sovereign Craft economy on my node such that people could run their own servers on their own hosts and player wallets would persist across all Minecraft servers. I have to think about it more., but that would be the ultimate answer. I get out of Minecraft server hosting primarily other than being the "original", and I offer Bitcoin economy as a Service with a small fee structure of some kind like any lightning wallet provider.
The key to this will be making my plugin hub and spoke such that other servers would send messages to a Minecraft service of my own that would verify users by UUID independently and deliver that information back to the other servers asynchronously so that the game isn't lagged even if there is lag to my node. I will also need to work on extreme optimization to use webhooks instead of API calls for things like balance inquiries wherever possible.
Then people who run servers full time etc. could easily adopt the P2P economic model and they would be responsible themselves in ensuring their servers comply with the EULA etc. Hopefully this would also mean that Microsoft/Mojang would realize that the money isn't internal to the game and that it therefore does not breach any terms of use. Having a digital money so well integrated into a game is difficult because it appears to be in game when it is in fact not.
There should be no difference in a Minecraft Store like Hypixel or whatnot vs an economy that is more integrated and player led it's simply a more integrated UI that persists across in game via plugins or via web seamlessly
All this assuming no scams, play to win (which is necessarily a scam), NFTs, worthless tokens with implied value, etc.

Sovereign Craft is now unbanned! I was working with Minecraft
Enforcement and Microsoft. It has now been a few months of back and forth and waiting for replies and not hearing back on some of them. If not for "crypto" and all its scams I'd likely have a much easier time with this.
Although they did not give me specific advice, I think I have the balance right. The ONLY way I was "paying out" players was when they voted for my server. I have removed voting rewards. Otherwise any trade is happening between players with their external wallets. Sovereign craft does not use blockchain, NFTs, or any form of player payouts or any form of gambling (not even vote keys etc.).
We facilitate economic interactions between players only with an open market and value for value economy. Hopefully this will allow us to stay and continue to provide our players with a unique educational experience

I developed it and its open source. You can still join by IP but only the lobby works for lightning and so no playable features anymore. I also have nip-05 integration to register your playername@minecraftstr.com if you want

I offered to remove the voting where I pay people 4 SATs per vote.
Now I disabled the economy entirely to try to get unbanned. I joined a class action lawsuit against them as well.

They don't want pay to win - Netiher do I
They don't want NFT's - Neither do I
They don't want "blockchain" - Neither do i (Lightning isn't blockchain)
They don't want payer payouts in real currency - I dont' pay players, other player do.
They seem to be okay with Server operators making money off players but not players making their own value and trades. I'm fighting the fight, but if the server goes down or goes anon (which is very hard to do as a game server), you will know it was not me.

It's a commodity market. If the prices are too high, someone can list lower. You even have in game market and limit orders. Something is worth what something is.
Sataria is very scarce. Mending is particularly hard to find and only really able to get by fishing. It's an easy 10-20K sats and that's with very few players. Many items on our SMP server are nearly free and so people can pay another player who has mined very little if they simply want to build.

Correct. Layered money shows us that there is a natural and emergent layering. Bitcoin as a base layer is fine because it's verifiable in code. Starting to think in layers in general is necessary for any realistic scalable financial system on a Bitcoin standard.

Lightning is a more capable version of swift. A lightning node is a bank running on swift.
It doesn't matter if it's only "currency" and not base layer. Lightning offers better transparency than central banking. There is NO system that can work on one layer globally with one unit that satisfies all monetary needs. Layers that operate in a trust minimized way and keeping the same units is far better than multiple units.

It's market cap in the maximum is nothing more or less than the total abstracted and stored time and energy that has yet to be consumed of all humanity. This includes lost coins. An easy analogy for me is apple juice. You cannot see through Tropicana apple juice and comparing it to an apple juice that is see through because everything is filtered out is significant the unfiltered has way more taste. For someone who can appreciate wine, it's similar. You remove a major part of a wine's character and body and end up with a more generic and less complex product.

There are many differences under the hood as well. Minecraft has said before that they do not want any form of virtual currency that can be exchanged for real value. Sovereign Craft is the only Bitcoin game that I know of that has zero virtual currency in game. Your "in game" money is actually sats sitting on a real lightning node https://mempool.space/lightning/node/027230e7207075b18b089399c4244ca4b45f5e629108ef020f6812aba67037a499. The game becomes an interface to a real money as opposed to a representation of money being in game. The Server and the lightning node is hosted by me as well. This is important because around the same time Satlantis was banned, they also put a DNS (server name) block for Sovereign Craft. Despite them not responding to me in any way after challenging them, that block still exists today even though we are breaking none of their rules and in many ways being in more alignment with their values of education, inclusivity and fun. We let Minecraft be Minecraft and Bitcoin be Bitcoin, both in their purest forms possible.
We also have: LNAddresses, Bolt Cards, NIP-05 integration, wallet sync to your phone and so many more capabilities.

I hate the word wallet when it's not converged. Signing device with or without seed storage, read only UI (for generating requests and displaying addresses etc.) and connected node. There is no wallet unless it does all the things a wallet does, which necessarily means a hot wallet. Hot wallets on L1 is dumb for anyone who understands what Bitcoin will likely become very soon.

In my case my fiat job which I still need thends to be in cities and I'm not yet remote. Land closet to a city is very expensive. I do have the same long term idea though. Starlink, off grid solar, dig a well, live my life.

Here's a video from the 1940's see just past one minute mark, it's even mentioned as vapor trails. It was pretty low tech back then as you can see. Yes. There are a few brands that have more juice (less concentrated) and have shorter shelf life and can be quite good for the hobbyist without the complications of skins etc. It's surprising how good of a wine you can make when you take appropriate care. I tell people I have a homemade wine and they appropriately wince. There's some bad wine out there from the average hobbyist 🤢

Yes! I have made wine, just from higher quality kits, but knowing what goes into it is important. I've served my wine to people who claim headaches and it was fine. When people aren't in their craft for the right reasons, it shows.

Agreed but $750 is about 3 year's worth of paying for a model. Plus I'm a father of 5 providing for a family of 7. Time is limited. Bitcoin could easily 10x by then IMO and who knows where AI will be by that time. I'm going to stack.
