Sorry the heat and smoke chased you out of Tetons and Yellowstone so early. I've car camped for decades, Tetons and Yellowstone are terrific in spring, and I promise it's worth going back for more, lots more. It drew me back for weeks every year for 2 decades, and still didn't get enough of it. Before the roads get packed, while temps are still mild, babies and wildflowers everywhere... and way less mosquitos the size and sound of harleys ... spring is sublime there. Hope you get to play there more. Looking forward to your coast adventures.

If you ever want open windows, cutting screen about 2" bigger around than window shape and using magnets to keep it on works awesome. Cool air, river sounds, no mosquitos. For privacy, your idea is wonderful you're like a stealth mcgyver!

If you want to linger with the zen a tiny bit longer, check out that tree in the bottom left in peak fall color from online photos. Seen it hundreds of times in different photos and it still catches my breath to see it again.

The coast is so pretty. Trees n shrubs are leafing and flowering. Bees and ladybugs all over, birds are singing their little hearts out. It's so green! Waves are gentler, sand has filled in most places and packed down. It doesn't get hot here like inland, so it's very hard to go inside - like ever. Half the year going outside takes some serious bundling against the wind and rain, but it's worth it. Now it's just a free for all of perfection. All my garden plants came back this year too, some are far from blooms but those little buds bring joy still.

In the light of a confession meaning baring your heart unfiltered, that was fitting. Promoting an event where naked unvarnished truth prevails that isn't topic limited, just themed as confessions, all fits just fine. They've been funny, sad, gross, collectively covered so much ground... the confessions have variety that's for sure. I'd imagine the events gather people who want to hear others 'keep it real', and it can probably be quite a ride topic wise.

1st, I'm sorry about the USA corruption, elbows up.
2nd: Can Americans get vaccines or prescriptions there? Our FDA is being corrupted too. Our new head of health hates vaccines. I'm scared.
Is tourism to you there still ok? Are we so hated, deservedly, it would be best not to? Is Jasper open from the fires again? Figure folks there might need some economic stimulus...

Hope your community and it's inhabitants all have good precautions and preparations just in case.
Having lived in the foothills or adjacent to volcanoes all my life, Mt St Helens big eruption especially, I've been so grateful for the supplies that made a world of difference. Besides those same supplies came in clutch for floods, roads/phone and power being out weeks at a stretch, and forest fires too, so all the better to have had them at the ready.

He lived in Idaho, I guess I simply assumed he was MAGA, covid denying, hadn't heard these concert details before. Maybe his passing will inform more people about the neuro aspects of alcohol abuse at least. He lost an infant, that seemed to be what broke him deep down.

A gal in her 20s backed into another car today in the parking lot.
She got out, looked so forlornly between the cars for a long while, then into the store. I made some notes just in case and headed in too.
The loudspeaker was calling for the owner. Found her in customer service, still looking frayed and anxious.
She looked apprehensive when she saw me coming over. Told her we ALL make mistakes, sorry it was her turn today. How good it was to see her stepping up about it, I admired her unabashedly. She teared up. Folks, she was holding so much in, and that just boiled her emotions over. She was relieved a little that someone was being nice to her, she was gracious, exhausted, worried, like awash, and crying.. I should've followed the urge to hug her, didn't know if it would help or sap her more though. She was so overwhelmed in all the ways, running the gamut.
The young have it hard, harder than my generation by far. They're also lovely.
