When you sell/lease a channel, you will open the channel to the buyer who has paid you for the channel. Since they are buying from you this means they want inbound liquidity for themselves. When you open to them, you will have the outbound from the start. However they wouldn't be buying it if they didn't plan on using it so the channel should move more liquidity to your inbound side over time. Depending on the buyer this could be very quickly. You'll have to decide on a fee rate and if/how you want to keep the channel balanced based on it's profitability to you and the terms of your agreement with them.
They want to receive payments through your channel. They're paying you for their inbound capacity to them.

If you are selling a lightning channel (selling a lease for a set time duration) your liquidity would be stored in that channel (controlled by your lightning node) on the lightning network. Your lightning node is usually operating through your BTC node. All of these are your nodes and your wallets. So yes, sort of. It's indirectly on chain. Its just on layer two, the lightning network, fully under your control. You are only subject to your honor in keeping the channel open for the agreed upon duration for the agreed upon fees. If you fail, your reputation and ability to do such business on Amboss is all that's at stake. This assumes you can keep your lightning node up and running and have the knowledge/skills to recover your funds in case of a node failure.
In short, you have control but the risk is your LN node failing and your loss of funds due to failing to have proper backups/redundancies in case your node goes down. With proper operation knowledge and backup/restoration plans the risk is low. But there is risk.
That said, if you fire up a LN with say 1BTC and sell one channel for .5btc, this leaves you with .5btc to open other channels that will make your leased channel valuable to the person leasing it. For instance, if the only channel you have is that one .5btc channel then it is useless to the person you leased it to as no one can route a payment to them through it. They'll likely do their own due diligence and not lease from you in that case. However if they do, that's on them. But, you would only get the leasing fee and you wouldn't make any extra money routing payments through that channel to them.
If you didn't know this already, you probably don't have a lightning node. Perhaps a wallet but not a node. If that's the case, I'd suggest you begin by looking into node operation and see if the time and effort is worth it to you. If you are familiar with lightning nodes enough to know it's not worth the time and effort for you, then this isn't for you either.
No judgment, just the facts from assumptions based on your question.

Depends. If the community has treated me well and I can afford it, I'll be at the station personally authorizing each pump, it's price and the amount to be pumped. My employees will get 'hazard/disaster' pay as well.
Some may get unlimited gas for free. Some may get no gas at any price. Some get rations to get out of the area at a high price.
Disasters and local communities are personal. I'll give a highly personal response.

Originally many said to have a bunch of relays. Now I think it's better to have a few (2-4) popular free relays and 2-3 good paid relays. Plus your own private node/relay where possible.
Which ones? It's early, quality and service could change quickly. I think trial and error will move you forward better than anything. Start with name recognition and go from there.
I'm agreeing though, 10 plus relays could be more problem than solution.

I exchange the carbs I grow weekly for pretty regular amounts of beef, butter and bacon.
Occasionally when I see that my budget is running smooth and I have some excess carbs in storage, I target a sale on some higher quality beef, butter and bacon to stock up or have a treat. Maybe some eggs.

So, those who want to parent (rule, guide and lead... goveren) children are inherently different beings than those who want to lead, guide, and govern parts of society?
But they are not so different. They, leaders and governors, are often parents themselves.
Wanting, or being willing, to governmen children or otherwise is in fact not ipso facto proof or even evidence that the willing are least suited to it.
In fact if they were so unsuited to it, the example of their parenting would reflect it and we would indeed have no society left. But, as most governors are parents, the locus of the flaw is not merely shown in the desire to govern.
Further we can skew our description of parenting to show the incentives are similar. We are wired to raise our children (in part) precisely so they can serve us later on in our older years.
I'm not saying the state or our system is good. This rationale for the major cause of the problem just doesn't pass logical muster as regards human nature.
You're observation of incentives has more explanatory power than a blanket view of the nature of humans.

I used to agree wholeheartedly. I think it stems from one's view of 'authority'. If there is such a thing as legitimate authority, then there could be such a thing as a legitimate tax.
I understand the point, but I also believe there is legit authority in the world, thus a legit tax would not be theft.
Then the question becomes, who/what is a legit authority. Also, just having legit authority does not mean any and all taxes are legit. Therefore, what, how and how much to tax is also not so simple.
I didn't want to get into the etymological fallacy but I wanted to get a sense of where the words even came from. To know exactly what at least I mean when I use those terms.
Authority comes basically from 'author', meaning progenitor, the builder, creator, owner etc... Thus anyone they 'author-ize' has 'author-ity'.
Tax was essentially a 'burden'. Yes, in its origin it was almost always placed upon you by another, but it is not necessarily so. We all know that caring for our home and property can be taxing. One could even say that such maintenance is stealing my time (it TAKES time) that one might wish/will to be doing other things. Nature 'taxes' me with rain and falling leaves in my gutters. Call it a tax or not, she places a burden upon me.
I start from there and consider what may and may not be appropriate. If I have, for instance, ownership/authority over something and you wish to be there or use it in some way, I may certainly charge you, burden you with a payment.... tax? What's the difference?
Just something to consider. I'll leave off there...

They goby several names. Surprise Lilly, Naked Lady (because no foilage), and Resurection Lilly.
They should make an attractive green clump of tall green, very grass-like leaves in the spring for a few weeks. They will die off and you can mow them at that point. A few months later these stems and flowers 'resurrect' from the bulb.
You can divide the bulbs and spread them about every two or three years. I believe the bulbs should be 6-7 inches deep to get good flowers. Check that last part for sure.

PS. Jesus is referred to as "The Word" in scripture. That comes from 'logos' from whence we get 'logic'. Logic isn't Jesus but Jesus is the embodiment of logic, among other things.
So as to the vagueness of god or God, there are only 5 options to the answer of, 'where did anything/everything come from'.
1. Everything came from nothing naturally. Nothing comes from nothing and nothing ever could.
2. Anything/everything created it's self. A thing cannot be A and non-A at the same time and in the same way. Logic...
3. A thing or everything is eternal. Laws of thermodynamics deny this. Eternal material systems are stagnant. Motion requires a prime mover. Aristotle.
4. Everything is a figment of your imagination. This can be shot full of holes with some simple observations. Argument to absurdity.
5. Something (someone) at some point created.
I have found no 6th option that isn't substantially the same as one of the 5 or some combination of them. Only the 5th is logical as I see it.
From there, the Bible answers best as to why that something created anything, that this something is personal and wants to relate with us, and how He does that and how we can relate back to Him.

Not to be difficult but, you already know the answers.
How does one feel strongly about anything? Through knowledge and experience.
How does one have a personal relationship with anyone? In this case one must first except hat the person is a person. No person, no personal relationship. After that? Get to know them. Exchange value for value with them. You're in the hole there and always will be. We (who believe) owe Him everything but, attempts to pay will pay for nothing. We'll give because He first loved us. Add this to knowledge from the first answer and we'll find how he interacts with us in His Word. This will give us the experience.
If Jesus is the center of the question then God is not a vague concept. Those two are fairly well identified and described in The Word. If it's vague to you, read more of those words. That's where the knowledge that can lead to experience comes from, His Word. Commentaries and theologies can come later. Start with what all those commentaries are commenting on. Let them later help you after you have first thought for yourself.
And of course, no. You'll never get there. It's an endless journey. Once the relationship is established there is no end of the rabbit hole. Just how far down it you wish to dive. Every inch has it's trials, tribulations and rewards.

You also plucked your private key (nsec) into whatever client/app you used to post this. Now they have it.... and the next app/client... and the next...
Many of the apps/clients are new, experimental and buggy.
They could get hacked or sell or leak your private key/nsec... the password to your identity in the nostr world.
This is what Alby or another 'key signer' does. They provide proof that you own your public identity without handing over your private key.
Seems trivial at first, but it's important.

I'm pretty sure WoS didn't give you a seed phrase. It was custodial and you backed up by simply setting an email and password. They have that but they can't download the app on their iPhone because WoS withdrew their app for American customers.
I'm just wondering if WoS had a way to return American's their funds still after all this time. I emptied mine in Nov of last year when the news broke.

Diluting their holdings. Yes and No. They have a wallet with the current rules as would everyone. It has addresses with balances. New rules are applied by any miner as a hard fork. He has created a new chain with a new wallet. The wallet he has on the old chain still has exactly the same amount of coins under the old rules. He now also has that exact same amount of coins under the new rules in a new wallet. Effectively doubling the total number of coins. Theoretically, the value per coin is split in half but the volume is doubled. Yes my opinion is the longest chain should be called BTC and Bitcoin. In the fork, my number of coins double as well. I would probably pretty quickly sell my coins on the new chain and by more coins on the old chain. This mass action is what will make the longest chain, show where the value is considered to be and determine who is best and is BTC.
A new chain with more coins would dilute that value, on that chain, as your percentage of the whole would be smaller. Lets say they doubled the 21mil market cap to 42mil while the price was at $10 but, people loved the new chain and it's price quickly went to $20. I have that smaller percentage but my $ valuation remains the same, plus I still have my coins on the old chain. The old chains coin value should go down in this scenario but the over all market could expand with new money and keep them both up in price. Not likely but possible.
The miners biggest disincentive is the wasted electricity and downtime on what is historically a loosing proposition. BCH did okay for a while but look at BSV and others. They quickly lost a lot of hash power and turned out to be a pretty big waste of miners efforts (money)... but some do still mine them.
Further if there is a hard fork. My node does not just look for the longest chain. It looks for the longest chain that complies with the rules of my node. The new chain's blocks simply would not be validated by my node as it didn't follow my (the old) rules. I either update my node to the new rules or I stay on the old chain no matter how long the respective chains are. I could also fire up a second node for the new chain and have both two wallets and two nodes while the market decides the winner.
Lastly, a 51% attack can do a host of bad things and cause a lot of major problems. One thing it can't do is change the core set of rules simply because they have the majority of hash and thus require new rules like some kind of hostile takeover. That would require a hard fork whether 51% went with the new chain or not.

Had never heard of him. Just listened to a bit of an interview and read a couple of book summaries. We would agree about recognizing reality for what it is and living in the world according to it. That's a big deal to me. I would say our approaches or sources of data about reality are probably different and we might often come to similar conclusions from different premises and axioms.
I don't know how he would view freedom/liberty vs binds/slavery from his axioms. I just know that the idea that we are either literally free to do anything we could wish or we are somehow a slave, doesn't reflect reality in myriad ways. Liberty, freedom, ownership, property etc... aren't (as most people casually think of them) reflective of reality. I often use basic language to reflect on these things to get at reality.
For instance, "freedom isn't free", is nonsense to me. It's in the very words themselves. If it isn't 'free' then it isn't FREEdom. Now lest examine, 'nothing is free'. I can find a 'cost' to just about everything, no matter how small, so that seems to better reflect reality. If so then, 'there is no freedom' in that strict sense, seems more accurate. Then I make the finner distinctions between 'freedom' and 'liberty' to see how they apply. Finally I asked myself (for a reality check), does anyone actually want (highly prize) freedom or liberty? I don't think either is in most peoples top 10 even.
In reality, we were taught in the Western Enlightenment World, that freedom and liberty were the necessary means to achieving all the things we really value. Thus, the means have come to be the ends. So, face reality. What do we really want? What are those close to universal desires that we all seem to share? If we could have them without any liberty or freedom, would we care about liberty and freedom so much? Would our lives be 'better' without placing those two things at the center as an end in themselves? I've concluded they would. I've discovered that pre-Enlightenment thinkers approached liberty and freedom from a different place. F&L were tools granted to those who are able to use them for their best good and the good of the world. Those not capable of using them properly were not granted them, for their own good and the good of the rest of us.

I think I was captivated most by the description of it as a prison more than a question of ownership/property and economic value. My point was basically that this view is fairly relative and subjective. Relative to the amount of wealth one has. Relative to how much one values 'things' individually, and both tangible and intangible things. How we view all this interwoven mess is according to our preferences and our choices.
Let us say, I live in an apartment and I'm a multi-millionaire. I have a dozen classic and exotic cars that I love. In this scenario, the cars are the prison. Or as I said the record collection that's too big to 'escape' with. Plus, the cars are taxed as property as well in many jurisdictions, so do I really own those either? Their value also varies somewhat based on where I try to sell them and how quickly.
Now my kids. They're grown. Lets say they don't agree with me about escaping. I'll not leave them behind. I don't think they are a prison. They are a chosen priority based on my preferences.
In conclusion, all our priorities and choices act to bind us to something, to some degree. A place, a law system, a community, culture, family etc... The idea that this binding is imprisonment is simply an attitude or state of mind.... a choice about how to think about it. It ceases being a prison the moment we stop viewing it as a binary of free as a bird or bound as a prisoner. The truth is somewhere in between and differs for each person.
The real estate is bound to a location, by physics. You are only bound to it by how much you value it and what goes along with it. Your value of it is always going to be different than the economic market value of it because part of the value you place on it is personal, or not I guess.
For me, there is no escaping my 'home', real estate or not. What I value there binds me to it more than any market value. If I can't be there with the irreplaceable family, friends, community, geography, climate, culture etc... because I must escape, my refuge becomes my prison as I am kept from what I value most in this world.
But, I agree. Choosing to be anywhere to some degree binds one to a place and all that comes with it. Even the nomad is, at a minimum, temporarily bound the moment they stop for the night somewhere.

Reporting news and advocating action are two different things. Trump is Hitler is not news. It isn't even true. Maga means Nazi is not news. It isn't even true. Yet it was reported on over and over again for years. They chose which pundits to give air time to. They choose which of the things they say to feature. Perhaps they 'call what they see'. If so, they are part of the problem.
Ethics discussions for decades have often centered around the question, "If you could go back and kill Hitler in the cradle would it be ethical to stop what happened?" The overwhelming answer is usually, 'of course. It seems to even be a moral imperative.'
Who does not know what we are being told when people call someone Hitler or a Nazi or a Fascist. "Punch a Nazi", meaning any political conservative (of which I am not one). Who does not know what we are being told when simple normal people are referred to as 'domestic terrorists' because they like a political candidate.
These things are not news. They are advocacy. Saturday someone did what they've been suggesting for YEARS. They killed one heroic father in the process. They, the reporters, the pundits, the leftist mud slingers.
I'm old enough to remember when "right wing radio" was criticized for talking as they did because it 'could' cause violence. Shoes on the other foot except it DID cause violence and death. Even though a heroic father is dead, and a president shot, pundits are still lamenting he didn't kill Trump and "news" is still giving it air time. That's advocacy.
Leftists want their political and cultural opponents dead. They talk this way for a reason. They don't get airtime if 'the news' doesn't think it's a good idea.
Maga's president is shot and look at all the riots in the streets. Oh wait..... there were none.
