FrOSCon is a free and #OpenSource software conference taking place on the weekend of August 15-16 in Sankt Augustin, Germany. There will be a Luanti stand where visitors can try out Luanti, chat with us, and grab a Luanti sticker or flyer.

The Anubis creator offers this as a paid add-on, but I implemented it for free using Nginx's GeoIP2 module and MaxMind GeoLite2. $25pm would double our costs, I'd rather use a CDN with that money

Okay - I've configured Anubis to treat residential and commercial/data center IPs differently. Residential IP addresses should not see a challenge in normal situations, but may see a quick challenge when the server is under high load. Data centers/commercial IPs will see strong challenges
(most AI scraper attacks come from cloud data centers)

To help with repeated attacks on #Luanti #ContentDB from bad-faith Internet participants, it now sits behind Anubis. This isn't something we wanted to do but is unfortunately necessary due to the current realities of the Internet
We will be tweaking the configuration in the upcoming future, with the goal of reducing user impact

We are looking into the possibility of creating a #Luanti for Edu/Kids edition which would be a new app on the play store and a new download from luanti.org. It will (1) provide tools for parents/teachers to manage kids (2) achieve a lower age rating, aiming for age 6.
We're looking to get in touch with someone who know about age ratings and our obligations. Perhaps someone from #IARC/#USK/another board who also knows about open source. Does anyone have any connections we could talk to?
