Glad to learn that having a battery installed in my laptop is optional, because I figured out the reason my keyboard seemed to be bending upward was because the Li-ion battery underneath was puffing out like a bag of microwave popcorn due to dendrite growth. 😨 So, I removed that to a far away place.
A new battery looks like it'll be just over $100, and all things considered I've not used it without being plugged in for more than a few hours in the several years I've had it, so that can wait.

His excuse is that he's trying to prevent Linux contributors from experiencing liability. But in effect he's advocating that people acquiesce to lawfare extortion. The only real solution in my personal opinion is united non-compliance. Linux is too intrinsic to the entirety of modern technological infrastructure for the law to force unpaid developers of an inherently community owned project to do their bidding. There are many features which generally prevent Pagan religions from falling into this trap. Firstly, no exclusive holy books (eg. orthopraxy not orthodoxy). Secondly, no exclusive claim to truth. Thirdly, Interpretatio Graeca/Romana (which are not limited to Greek or Rome).
Have Pagan religions been entwined with the nation-state and empire? Yes. Does the state often focus energy on imperialism and conquest? Yes. Do they often wield the banner of their religion when doing so? Yes. However that latter point is fundamentally different from having imperialism and conquering baked into the fundamental ideology of the religion itself. It's simply not a feature of any Pagan religion I've ever heard of, regardless of how a given Pagan nation-state has identified with it's particular religion. Holy war just isn't a thing in Pagan religions as a rule, even if some variants do regard war itself as being no less holy than any other human endeavour.
But hey, if you can cite examples of Pagan texts which make claims to exclusive truth, or advocate eradicating other religions (other than in self-defence), or anything which contradicts what I've said above, I'm open to learning about it.

We're more or less on the same page. The main difference is I'm not foolish enough to think I can sleep with scorpions and not eventually get stung. To an extent I agree, but frankly they've made it their mission for 2,000 years to destroy everyone else's sacred sites, or coopt them and plant a fucking cross on top (including the 3 I mentioned). So personally I think they deserve a conclusive taste of their own medicine. if I had my way the only remains of that retard ideology would be a single copy of the fairy tale in the fiction section of every public library, and maybe some photos and architectural drawings of buildings that were destroyed/repurposed (though even that much is being overly generous).

The Allah as a moon god thing is a bit of a fringe idea. I don't think many scholars accept that. As to Papism, calling it occult would be paying it too high a complement. When you actually look into what the occult is, it's a process of discovery which in a western context is heavily rooted in Greco-Egyptian philosophy and sciences (eg. Hermeticism). Christinanity as a whole had to borrow from that lock stock and barrel in order to backwards rationalise a theology out of their retarded pseudohistorical fairy tale. Protestants are hardly immune from it, particularly with the bulk of them being heavily influenced by Freemasonry.

So I did a bit of digging into SRM in general, looking at two proposed technologies.

Personally I'm not the slightest bit fixated on historical Paganisms/mysticism. I like to know about them because I find it interesting, but when it comes to practice of religion for it's own sake, I've invented my own. It has features in common with some systems like Hermeticism (eg. harmony of complementary opposites, etc), but isn't tied to nor dependent on any other historical system.

Alberta is a mixed bag. On the one hand they're politically conservative, and so tend to regard fundamental rights like free speech, bodily autonomy, and gun ownership, etc, as inviolate and non-negotiable. But on the other hand they're also oil barons who care little for environmental integrity and indigenous sovereignty, and heavily biased in favour of fundamentalist Christinanity. For the former reasons I'm tempted to move there, but for the latter reasons I probably never will.
Similarly I'd hesitate to move to Sweden because it seems like your government (and possibly the population as a whole) are thoroughly infected by the woke mind virus, and really don't care about many of the human rights I consider fundamental and inalienable. But I do like a lot of other things about Sweden like the natural environment, allemansrätten, the history (especially pre-Christian), attractive women, etc.

I guess how you interpret it depends whether your belief system is based on the Biblical text (such that they're even coherent) or instead on localised institutional dogma from a millennium later.
