I won't share the horrifying video, but Austin police killed a 17-year-old Black child who called 911 while in distress. Three cops fired more than two dozen rounds, killing him because they thought he had a gun.
It was a water bottle. The child was unarmed.
Austin PD is calling it "suicide by cop." No, it's murder in cold blood by cop. We must fund public safety, not just hire more cops. A mental health professional could have saved his life. The cops have been placed on administrative leave.

Mitch McConnell hasn’t been seen or heard from in 25 days in the hospital.
Yet he still has a job, is still getting paid, and is getting unlimited world class healthcare.
The man who voted against a living wage, against universal healthcare, and against guaranteed paid leave, is now getting all three when he needs it most. Every person deserves the human dignity McConnell is getting on the taxpayer dime. Anything less is shameless cruel hypocrisy.

Shocker. MAGAs don’t know what words mean, in this case, the word Feminism. In other news. Water is wet.

Today we learned a 36-year-old white Texan man was caught in Bogota Colombia raping an adopted 7-year-old boy in broad daylight. Cops entered his apartment & also rescued 4-year-old & 15-year-old rape victims.
Trump pushed the racist lie that Mexico is sending “rapists” to the USA. In reality—77.1% of CSAM distributors & 75.2% of CSAM producers are White. Not immigrants. Not Black or brown people. Not drag queens. White men—like Trump in the Epstein files. Every MAGA accusation is a confession.

As you watch the World Cup, remember that Israel is participating despite their globally acknowledged genocide of Palestinians, USA is participating despite their funding of that genocide, and illegal invasion of Iran, and illegal kidnapping of Marduro, and illegal mass murder of Venezuelan fisherman—all while Russia is banned due to their illegal invasion of Ukraine.
This isn’t a defense of Russia—it’s a global admission of which skin color gets protection, and which skin colors do not.

Ken Jones, a retired San Francisco firefighter, has died from lung cancer after Blue Shield denied his treatment claims.
Let me be clear, any politician running for President in 2028 who does not champion universal healthcare is automatically a non-starter. I will not vote for someone who kills my neighbors for "shareholder value." You can go burn in hell with your ill gotten wealth.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani came into office with a historic $12B deficit left to him by the failed Eric Adams administration.
And in just 132 days, Mayor Mamdani has brought a $12 BILLION deficit to $0—all without cutting a single social service. https://youtu.be/6GXFg6RHP64?si=2NZokzTvNiNcBM9c

Trump would rather release fake evidence of UFOs than real unredacted Epstein Files.
He’d rather spend billions to eliminate Iran over an imagined nuclear program than spend a fraction of that to eliminate poverty here at home.
He’d rather prosecute Comey over a made up threat while pardoning 1600 violent convicted insurrectionists.
Fascists will spare no expense to avoid accountability and advance autocracy.

BREAKING: In a rare win, SCOTUS grants a stay of the 5th Circuit ruling which banned mailing Mifepristone. Therefore, mail delivery can restart (for now).
Here's an idea—healthcare decisions should be left to medical experts, not to unelected bureaucrats. It would be medical malpractice for me, a lawyer, to prescribe or restrict medication. Why is it okay for a judge to prescribe or restrict medication that a physician deems is necessary? Just absurd.

BREAKING: Global Sumud Flotilla reports that last night Israeli naval forces intercepted, boarded, and disabled and destroyed various boats of the Global Sumud Flotilla in a violent raid in international waters.
They attacked 180 civilians, illegally detained and kidnapped several participants, jammed communications, and smashed an engine, leaving civilians stranded on powerless vessels.
These are international crimes. The sustained Global silence from world leaders is indefensible.

Today, former US Border Patrol Fascist in Chief Greg Bovino agreed with a white nationalist as she demonized immigrants and added, "This country was built by settlers, not immigrants."
Is it any wonder that 97.4% of the people his fascist ICE goons rounded up had no criminal record? Is it any wonder more than 90% are Latino?
This is what institutional white supremacy looks like. You don’t reform this. You abolish it. Abolish ICE.

2026-04-08 17:54:47 UTC

BREAKING: After the ceasefire, Israel today bombed Lebanon and killed another 100 people. Citing the breach Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz.
A reminder that Israel has broken the Gaza ceasefire hundreds of times with impunity and without consequence. And now they breach this ceasefire.
If any other nation invaded a sovereign nation and killed hundreds of civilians the USA would condemn it. But with Israel they defend it. This isn’t justice. This is literally how world wars begin.

2026-04-08 10:27:06 UTC

So the Dem tent can apparently include people who:
•Mock DV survivors
•Use the N word
•Fund and then deny genocide
•Demonize Muslims
•Oppose abortion access
•Deny climate change
•Dehumanize LGBTQ people
•Support the war in Iran
•Oppose voting rights
•Support killing civilians in war
But the line is: a Muslim who opposes Israeli government policy and says so loudly. The hypocrisy is disgusting, dangerous, and destructive.

Iran Deal By Obama:
•Strait of Hormuz open for free
•Iran limits Uranium enrichment
•Iran agrees to make no nuclear weapons
•Iran allows Int'l inspectors to ensure compliance
•Inspectors confirm Iran's full compliance
Iran Ceasefire By Trump:
•Strait of Hormuz closed, only open for $2M Per Ship
•Iran makes no guarantee of limit on uranium enrichment
•Iran makes no guarantee of no nuclear weapons
•Iran makes no guarantee to allow Int'l inspectors
MAGA: Trump Playing 5D Chess! Art Of The Deal!!

BREAKING: Israel's parliament has approved the death penalty BY HANGING as the default for Palestinians convicted of murdering Israelis
Meanwhile, multiple human rights orgs including Israeli orgs like B'TSalem confirm that Israelis kill Palestinians with impunity and face no accountabilty.
This is what apartheid looks like and shame on anyone gaslighting otherwise

2026-03-22 01:31:40 UTC

To those upset about bombing Iran: You’re upset about bombing a nation who refuses to sign the nuclear non-proliferation treaty, is hiding 200-400 nukes, blocks UN inspectors, & hides their nuclear facility behind human shields in a residential area?
You’re upset about taking out such a threat?
Ok—well everything stated above is true of Israel—not Iran. Remember that as you hear faux outrage about Iran defending itself from Israel’s illegal attack by targeting Israel’s illegal nuclear program.

Today is Eid al‑Fitr — the joy after a month of Ramadan. If Ramadan was only about abstaining from food and water, then Eid would simply be the end of a difficult month. But Ramadan transforms us, softening hearts, sharpening conscience, and connecting our lives to others.

AIPAC is gloating about "stopping progressives in IL" and claiming its proof that "being pro Israel is good policy and good politics"
But that's a lie. And AIPAC knows its a lie.
AIPAC spent $22M on Illinois primary elections without EVEN ONCE mentioning Israel or AIPAC. Instead they ran as "Elect Chicago Women" or "Progressive Caucus Chicago" because they know just how toxic AIPAC and Israel are. They are not "good politics."
Don't fall for AIPAC propaganda. They are losing and know it.

The people who claim we had to attack Iran to liberate women are silent on the women and girls Trump has raped
The ones who claim to protect Iranian girls are mocking the 175 Iranian girls brutally murdered by US bombs
The ones who claim Iran had imminent nuclear weapons are silent on Iran’s full compliance with Iran nuclear deal & silent on Israel’s 200+ nukes in violation of every international law
This war is not about justice. It’s a modern day crusade by Christian nationalists & fascists

All yall defending the Iranian regime seem to forget that their nationalist police murder 2000 people a year, the regime kills 70,000 people a year by denying them the basic medicine they need to live, this year their supreme leader cut aid to hungry civilians and killed 600,000 innocent people, and since 2001 they’ve waged imperialist wars that have killed 4.6 Million people
How Do You Defend That?!?
Ahhh my bad. I just described the United States Govt and the number of people it’s killed.😐

Under Tennessee law, homicide can carry the death penalty.
Now, Republican lawmakers have introduced House Bill 570 / Senate Bill 738 declaring life begins at fertilization and revising homicide statutes to include abortion.
That opens the door to capital punishment for Tennessee women and doctors.
Here’s what you need to know, the five white Republican men behind it, and how to help stop it from advancing.

Every time injustice rears its head in this country, I hear the same refrain: “I don’t recognize this America.”
February 19 reminds us otherwise. In 1923, the Supreme Court denied citizenship to Bhagat Singh Thind because he was brown, not white. In 1942, Japanese Americans were forced into concentration camps because of their heritage.
These are not anomalies. They are the result of a nation built on laws that have long prioritized whiteness at the expense of justice.

Dystopia notwithstanding, Ring's commercial about using their surveillance to find lost pets makes no sense.
They say 10M pets are lost per year & their service finds "more than 1 dog per day." So let's even say generously 500 dogs per year.
Out of 10M lost pets, they want Americans to commit privacy suicide for a .005% success rate???
"We fail 99.995% of the time! Let us violate your privacy!" is a helluva way to burn $10M in ads and destroy your brand.
I'm uninstalling my RING today.

Yesterday, I witnessed NYC’s mayor, Zohran Mamdani, take his oath on the Holy Qur’an. As an American Muslim, the joy & reverence I felt watching the moment is hard to describe.
This is what makes America great. Unity without sameness.
Predictably, online outrage followed over a Muslim public servant swearing an oath on his own sacred text. Those reactions reveal a misunderstanding of Islam & what American pluralism actually means.

Your reminder that there is no “war on Christmas” and no one is trying to ban saying “merry Christmas.”
Case in point. I'm Muslim. It doesn't offend me when people wish me Merry Christmas. Offensive is when MAGA politicians cut food stamps, healthcare, & education, while giving trillions in tax cuts to billionaires, and claim that's the Christmas spirit.
If you don't get why that's a problem, y'all need Jesus, and common sense.

And yet, I did not know until this week of the word "hebephilia," and I'm pretty dang sure it's because no one I've ever associated with has tried to "umm akshully" pedophilia by explaining how hebephilia is in any way "better." My God why is this even a discussion. smh

Remember that Nimarata Nikki Randhawa ran as Nikki Haley
Piyush Jindal ran as Bobby Jindal
Raphael Cruz ran as Ted Cruz
Meanwhile—Barack Obama ran as Barack Obama and Zohran Mamdani ran as Zohran Mamdani, and MAGAs accuse Dems of identity politics
Every MAGA accusation is a confession

2025-11-01 14:57:55 UTC

Just to be clear. MAGAs are gutting:
•Medicaid—which 60M Americans rely on to survive
•SNAP—which 42M Americans rely on to eat
•School Lunch—which 30M kids rely on daily
•Housing Assistance—which 5M families rely on to live
ALL to cut $4.5T in taxes for 800 Billionaires
This Is Barbaric.

So to be clear, the ICE fascists violently deporting 70-year-old immigrants because they allegedly forgot to check a box 15 years ago, themselves fail basic reqs so badly that the 13 week ICE training is now 6 weeks, & people with criminal records who'd otherwise be banned, are leading these raids.🤦🏽‍♂️
Cannot make this up. Every MAGA accusation is a confession.

The Guardian is reporting that since Israel and Hamas signed the ceasefire and full hostage exchange agreement, Israel has violated the ceasefire 47 times, killed 38 Palestinians, and wounded another 143 more.
Meanwhile Hamas has released all remaining hostages.
It Was Never About The Hostages.

2025-10-18 14:28:20 UTC

CNN: We document 100+ U.S. Citizen children abandoned because the Trump regime deported their parents
ProPublica: We document 170 cases of ICE arresting and torturing U.S. Citizens, almost all of Latino ethnicity
Northwestern University: We studied 150 years of data and it proves that immigrants have ALWAYS had lower crime rates than U.S. citizens
The Trump regime is a fascist and racist regime enacting structural eugenics. No one is safe because fascism never stop at one demographic.

2025-10-17 23:37:24 UTC

Here's some good news to share.
In response to ICE fascists in unmarked vehicles refusing to provide identification or even warrants while kidnapping people, Cook County’s chief judge Timothy Evans has signed an order banning federal immigration agents from arresting people around local courthouses without a warrant.
Judge Evans "Reaffirmed the common law privilege against civil arrest while attending court."
Every Judge in America should be doing this. This is leadership & justice.

As Trump prosecutes Letitia James, James Comey, Adam Schiff, Jack Smith, strips visas from critics of Kirk, pardons war criminals & convicted felons, grifts crypto for tens of billions, shuts down the Govt, fires tens of thousands of federal workers, destroys farmers, destroys public health, occupies cities, & so much more crap I cannot even begin to list—I just wanna ask Merrick Garland & Joe Biden about their militant obsession with “norms” & refusing to prosecute, convict, & sentence Trump?🤔

2025-10-16 13:10:49 UTC

This horror demands answers:
1. How did these Palestinians die?
2. When did they die?
3. Were they shackled before or after they died?
4. If before, why were they not given medical attention as international human rights law requires?
5. If after, for what purpose? Why mutilate a corpse?
6. Why were they denied their names, and instead given numbers like the Nazis did to Jewish victims of the Holocaust?
7. Who ordered these atrocities?
8. Who acted upon these orders?
The ICC MUST investigate.

Know why the Democratic Party has a 26% approval rating. Failed leaders like Chuck Schumer
•He sees an super popular Democratic nominee in Zohran Mamdani (33)—refuses to endorse him.
•He sees a super popular Democratic candidate in Graham Platner (41)—endorses his 77 year old opponent.
•He sees an major demand of Democratic voters (92%) calling to stop arming Netanyahu—arms him anyway.
Schumer’s very existence is choking the Democratic Party, and is what enables fascists like Trump to win.

Spoke to a friend today who is a tenured professor of neuroscience. I asked him about Trump’s anti-science campaign & his attacks on universities?
He replied, I don’t think Americans realize that even if we somehow stopped Trump now, he’s already set the USA back at least 20-30 years in scientific research. And given he still has 3 more years, we may not recover from this for half a century or more.
This Economist data is from 6 months ago. You can imagine how much worse it is now.😳

3 MAGA extremists have re-intro'd a bill that allows South Carolina to execute women who receive an abortion. If you haven't heard about S 323, it's because corporate media has completely ignored it.

Last month Judge Diane Goodstein ruled against the Trump regime, and blocked the State of South Carolina from giving millions of voter data files to the DOJ.
Last week Harmeet Dhillon of Trump's DOJ openly condemned Judge Goodstein's ruling in a tweet.
Yesterday Trump lackey Stephen Miller called "left wing judges & lawyers" as "terrorists" requiring force to rebuke.
Today this is Judge Goodstein's home, on fire, and being investigated for arson.
Probably just a coincidence.

This week SCOTUS issued a ghastly ruling, that Trump's ICE fascists can use ethnicity as a ‘relevant factor’ to detain people, specifically citing Latino ethnicity.
Here’s the harsh truth: This Supreme Court’s extremism is not an aberration, but a manifestation, of Supreme Court extremism throughout U.S. history. Here are the devastating receipts:

Imagine if in the last year Hamas attacked Gaza, West Bank, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Tunisia, & Qatar, assassinated its leaders, raped prisoners, used civilians as human shields, snipered babies, shot teen boys in the testicles, bombed hospitals, schools, churches, & mosques, starved millions to famine, & genocided minimum 100K—all while claiming self defense.
Would you buy that sick excuse?
Because Hamas did none of that—but that’s the exact excuse Israel uses for doing all of that.

2025-09-09 18:33:06 UTC

Understand the timeline here:
1. Trump announced that he's coordinated a peace deal between Israel and Hamas and demanded Hamas come to the table to finalize it
2. Hamas came to the table and met in Qatar to mediate and finalize the peace deal
3. With Trump's support and coordination, Israel bombed the Hamas negotiators who were there for Trump's peace deal
These are war crimes. If you still believe "retrieving the hostages" was ever a priority for Israel, then you're lying to yourself.

2025-09-07 19:49:23 UTC

A few hours ago I received a violent series of texts on my private cell, threatening me because I'm speaking up for Palestine.
They sent me a home address I used to live at, said they'll "wipe me off the street" and are backed by Canary Mission.
This is how fascists defend genocide.
I am not going to be intimidated or silenced so easily. I’ve reported them to the FBI and and posting more details soon. God help us.

2025-09-06 21:17:02 UTC

I'm a human rights lawyer. I've worked on countless immigration, asylum, & refugee cases.
As the fascist in chief sends ICE and the military to target immigrants in Chicago, here are tangible steps you can take to protect your immigrant neighbors.

Trump issued an Executive Order to "remove divisive anti-American content" from museums, & now US Holocaust Museum is "temporarily" removing an exhibit on how the US Government rejected Jewish refugees from escaping Nazi genocide. (Oh, and remember, the Govt gladly gave visas to actual literal Nazis).
But yeah, I'm sure this is all a coincidence and not fascism whitewashing one of the most cruel policies of American history that is now being revived against refugees from Afghanistan and Gaza.

2025-08-15 02:11:58 UTC

A judge has freed Sean Dunn—who threw a sandwich at an ICE fascist—ruling that a felony charge is excessive.
To be clear, MAGA snowflakes celebrated Trump for pardoning Nazis who physically beat cops to death with pipes, but tried to charge a man armed with a sandwich with a felony.🤔 Incredible.

2025-07-27 19:50:43 UTC

I can report that 300+ paid subs have cancelled their subscriptions to my human rights newsletter—many citing my advocacy for Gaza.
I have 2 options. Tone it down, or double down. So let me be absolutely clear: Unsubscribe. Block. Cancel. Report. Do whatever the hell it is you need to do. I will not stop condemning Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people. Free Palestine.
https://www.qasimrashid.com/p/why-300-paid-subscribers-have-cancelled

2025-07-20 16:01:59 UTC

The Israeli military has opened fire and killed at least 67 more Palestinian civilians seeking aid at a designated aid site. The UN reports that Israel has now murdered at least 800 Palestinians seeking aid since late May.
This is genocide. These are war crimes. Why does the world continue to remain silent? Every politician—Dem or GOP—silent on this is complicit. I hope history remembers them as such. Horrific.

2025-07-19 22:50:11 UTC

ICE is offering a $132K to $185K per year for supervisory roles & $306K per year to concentration camp managers. Both jobs have ZERO education requirement.
Meanwhile the average starting salary is $46,526 for teachers and $68,485 for nurses. Both jobs require a Bachelors degree & often a graduate degree.
It's a lie that we can't pay teachers & nurses. An uneducated and sick populace is easier to control, creates higher crime rates, and feeds the prison industrial complex. This is by design.

2025-07-17 15:05:40 UTC

Local journalists are reporting that the Israeli military just bombed the very church in Gaza that Pope Francis used to call every night. Israel killed 2 Christians and injuring 6 more.
Was Hamas in the church now?
If you still actually believe this is "Muslim vs Jew" and not War Criminal vs Civilians, then idk what to tell you but you're helping whitewash genocide.

2025-07-14 23:20:26 UTC

Doctors in Gaza are now reporting that the Israeli military is shooting Palestinian teenage boys in the genitals. In particular teen boys are suffering gunshot wounds to their testicles at Israel's aid sites. They're luring them in with food, then shooting them in the testicles.
This. Is. Genocide.

2025-06-28 20:09:18 UTC

Amazing how so many Corporate Democrats can look past financial corruption, insider trading, sexual abuse, even genocide—because "Republicans are worse,"—yet all that was needed for them to stop chanting "VOTE BLUE NO MATTER WHO" was a brown Muslim immigrant who won his primary on a platform of free childcare, transportation, frozen rent, a 2% higher taxes for millionaires. smh
And they wonder why the Dem Party has a 26% approval rating.

2025-06-27 17:53:26 UTC

This is from Israel's oldest paper. This is Israeli media reporting these war crimes and genocide in broad daylight.
You won't see this in American corporate media. They've continued to ignore this, enable this, even justify this and cheer it on.
Do not look away. This is genocide. This cannot stand.

The Democratic machine threw everything they had—billionaire endorsements, NYT op-eds, a deluge of corporate cash, and the full weight of washed-up politicians like Andrew Cuomo, Bill Clinton, and Michael Bloomberg—at Zohran Mamdani. And he still won. Big.
They can either learn from him and become the party for working people, or continue to suffer at 26% approval rating. Here's what Mamdani's win can mean for American politics:

A reminder that while Netanyahu was bombing Iran, and while Trump was bombing Iran, not only did Iran never have a nuclear weapon, but the Israeli Govt is still committing genocide of Palestinians, taking Gaza by forced occupation (a war crime), and a new Harvard study shows per the Israeli military itself at least 377,000 Palestinians are dead or missing.
Continue to raise your voice. Do not be silent to this ongoing genocide perpetuated every day by war criminals. Silence is complicity.

Trump is deploying 700 US Marines to Los Angeles.
By the way, if you can see the grotesque injustice that is the US Marines violently occupying LA for even 1 day against the will of Angelenos, then you can certainly see the grotesque injustice that is the Israeli military violently occupying Palestine for 77 years against the will of Palestinians.

2025-06-09 03:04:17 UTC

By the way, if you can see the grotesque injustice that is the National Guard violently occupying Los Angeles for even 1 day against the will of Los Angelenos, then you can certainly see the grotesque injustice that is the Israeli military violently occupying Palestine for 75 years against the will of Palestinians.

Trump just got SCOTUS to rule that 500,000 previously documented people are now undocumented.
A reminder that whenever MAGA cultists claimed they only opposed "illegal" immigration and not "legal" immigration, they were lying. They oppose non-white people, because MAGA is a white supremacist cult.

2025-05-25 16:11:28 UTC

A reminder that Netanyahu is still starving Gaza by blocking aid—which is a war crime.
Recall that when Yemenis blocked ships to prevent genocide, they were bombed. Now, as Israelis block aid to enable famine, they’re protected.
If you don't see the grotesque white supremacy in our foreign policy then you're either not paying attention or you're happily complicit.
The world must unite to end this blockade and stop this genocide.

Also, this is the West Bank, not Gaza. It's Occupied Palestine. Any claims that the Diplomats went "off route" and therefore the Israeli military had to open fire is an admission that the Israeli military is violently occupying land that is not theres, and needs to stop. Period.
I've been to Occupied Palestine. I've seen with my own eyes the restrictive suffocating nature of military occupation. Sadly, what these diplomats experienced is not the exception, but the norm. And that's the problem.

2025-05-21 19:33:13 UTC

WOW. The Guardian is reporting that Israeli troops fired ‘warning shots’ at 25 diplomats visiting occupied West Bank. The delegation comprised ambassadors and diplomats representing 31 countries, including Italy, Canada, Egypt, Jordan, and the United Kingdom.
Israel claims it was an "inconvenience" and they're investigating.
Make no mistake, this is deliberate intimidation by a regime committing daily genocide. If this is how they treat diplomats, just imagine how they treat Palestinians.

This would be a clear way to show the Democratic Party base that you really do not care what we think, and that new ideas will not be tolerated.

MAGAs are tracking autism, menstrual cycles, criticism of Trump, criticism of Israel, Trans people, & anyone who even dares whisper DEI—but NOT vaccination rates, measles, COVID, firearms, firearm deaths, climate change, or food regulations.
This is an unholy recipe for fascism & national disaster. This will kill people—and I fear that’s the MAGA goal.

US Defense Sect Hegseth shared details about strikes in Yemen in yet another Signal chat, this one included his wife.
As a licensed attorney, I'd be disbarred if I breached attorney/client privilege and shared confidential client info with my wife. Yet, Hegseth shares military secrets with a random journalist, and now with his wife, repeatedly puts our entire nation at risk, and gets to keep his job?
Is this the "meritocracy" we've heard so much about?
White male privilege is a trip.

Florida: Juan Carlos Lopez-Gomez (20) is being held in the Leon County Jail, charged with illegally entering Florida as an “unauthorized alien."
Lopez-Gomez is a U.S. Citizen, born in the United States. He showed his U.S. birth certificate in court. The judge held him in jail anyway.
This is absolute fascism. They are absolutely coming for all non-white US Citizens next.

2025-04-16 13:44:54 UTC

Fascism is when there are documented cases of the KKK mass murdering at least 5000 Black people and terrorizing millions more, but they're still allowed to exist and hold public marches due to "free speech," but Black and brown people are disappeared, deported, and tortured on the mere accusation that they said things the Government doesn't like.

Shocking that an aspiring autocrat given near total immunity by the Supreme Court is now exercising that immunity to undermine the Supreme Court and democracy altogether. Honestly who could have see this coming??🤔

Three Facts MAGAs Don’t Like:
•75% of the people Trump kidnapped & trafficked to an El Salvador torture camp have NO criminal record
•23% of them have NO violent criminal record
•A 150 year study by Northwestern U found that Immigrants (doc or undocumented) have ALWAYS had lower crime rates than US citizens
Fascist Trump blames immigrants to distract from his own failures. Period.

Guy worth $340B spending $25M in WI is like the median American worker who makes $39,982 a year spending $2.94.
Meaning, a $5 cup of coffee has a greater financial impact on a working American than $25M did on a maniac billionaire.
This is how democracies collapse.
TAX BILLIONAIRES OUT OF EXISTENCE.

BREAKING: In a landslide vote, Harvard Law student body passes divestment referendum, overcoming administration attempts to prevent and delegitimize the vote.
Harvard Law students overwhelmingly vote for Justice for Palestine and divestment from Netanyahu’s regime.
This is historic. Now the question is whether Harvard will listen to its students or its donors.

I'm in LA right now and had a chance to see some of the damage. Experts estimate the cost at $150B.
$150 BILLION
Only thing crazier than that massive price tag is the fact that it can be paid for in full by at least 3 USA billionaires, & its only 1.5% of the net worth of USA's 800 billionaires.
Tax billionaires. Invest in working people. Save our democracy.

RN Erin Elizabeth Ann Strotman in Virginia is charged with breaking the bones of Black infants in the NICU. Authorities are aware of at least 7 babies so far.

Dylan Roof killed 9 Black people with the motivation to incite a race war—NOT charged with terrorism.
Luigi Mangione killed 1 CEO with the motivation to rebuke healthcare injustice—charged with terrorism.
Class warfare is when wealthy CEOs are a protected class but working Black people are not.

Whenever I say we should return to 1940-1980 tax levels for the super wealthy (billionaires) of 91%+ marginal tax I hear, "If you do that billionaires will leave America."
To which I say two things:
1. Didn't happen last time, won't happen now.
2. Promise? Don't threaten me with a good time.

MAGA Politicians: The murder of an innocent CEO is horrifying and barbaric. We cannot have Americans take the law into their own hands.

According to The Lancet, America’s for profit exploitative healthcare system causes 68,000 preventable deaths annually.
That means since an assailant killed the @nprofile…rypx CEO, America’s health insurance corps have killed ~400 Americans who should be alive today.
Thats is 1 person every 7.5 minutes—perpetually. It’s long past time we abolish exploitative healthcare and make healthcare a human right.

2024-12-06 01:47:59 UTC

I agree it is horrific to shoot a man dead.
Problem I have is with the people who only condemn that, and meanwhile employ AI to reject critical medication claims for sick people thereby ensuring they suffer a slow painful death which is then deem justified because it increases shareholder value.

2024-12-05 19:02:19 UTC

A man murdered the UnitedHealth CEO in broad daylight, and the majority of people watching laughed. Why?
My take on America's violent health system, and what we must change immediately going forward.
https://www.qasimrashid.com/p/americas-violent-health-system

2024-12-05 00:14:09 UTC

No, I don't think violently killing CEOs is the answer.
I do think it's outrageous & disgusting that 70,000 Americans die preventable deaths annually because health insurance mega corps prioritize profits over healthcare & we don't acknowledge that as violent.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

So—cut bloated Defense budget?

Then how?
MAGA: Cut food stamps, housing, SS, & Medicare & give billionaires more money

Before leaving office Joe Biden is set to pardon his son Hunter.
He can't stop there. Right now ~2500 people sit on federal death row. When Trump was in office he lifted the moratorium on executions. Biden should commute their executions to life in prison. Do it.

None of this is ok. It is genocide. Silent politicians are complicit. Enough. Enough.

Dems should be more moderate? Ok.
Racial justice is moderate—racism is extreme.
A living wage is moderate-a poverty wage is extreme.
Healthcare is moderate denying it is extreme.
Climate justice is moderate- denying climate science is extreme.
Reject GOP Framing. We are fighting for human dignity. That is moral, just, and yes, moderate.
