Recipe time KENT HUFFKINS https://www.instagram.com/p/DWG4uYbjRZQ/
Kentish Huffkins. They are super soft, flour-dusted rolls with that signature thumbprint, just begging to be filled with ham, cheese and an irresponsible amount of butter. I of course, decided to go down the sweet route as I filmed them early in the morning.
They’ve been around since the 1600s, once sold on the streets of Kent, and honestly… I don’t know why we ever stopped making them, so this is your sign to bring them back into the mainstream.
Ingredients
500g strong white bread flour @cotswoldflour
7g fast-action dried yeast
10g salt
20g caster sugar @waitrose
30g salted butter OR lard, softened
300ml warm milk (or half milk, half water for a lighter crumb)
Method
In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, salt and sugar. Add the butter and warm milk, then bring together into a soft dough. Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth, elastic and slightly tacky. You want it soft, not stiff.
Place in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and leave somewhere warm for 1–1.5 hours until doubled in size.
Tip the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Divide into 6–8 equal pieces and shape into rounds.
Place onto a lined baking tray and use your thumb to press a deep indent into the centre of each one. This is what makes a huffkin "a huffkin". Cover lightly and leave to rise again for 30–45 minutes until puffy.
Dust generously with flour, then bake at 200°C (180°C fan) for 15–18 minutes until lightly golden but still soft.

Many posts target celebrities and influencers, but men in the groups also frequently victimize women they know.
A Telegram spokesperson tells WIRED that the company removes “millions” of pieces of content per day using “custom AI tools” and has policies in Europe that do not allow the promotion of violence, illegal sexual content including nonconsensual imagery, and other content such as doxing and selling illegal goods and services.
Among the extensive types of abusive content and services observed by the AI Forensics researchers were frequent references to the access, publishing, and doxing of women’s private information, sharing their Instagram or TikTok content, as well as references to spying or hacking. “Victims are often named, tagged, and locatable via shared profile links,” the group’s report says."
