For example, the Market Huddle is a great podcast for laughs- the hosts don’t take themselves too seriously and always make their conversations entertainingly hilarious. Hey Jack, how are Indigenous people protected from having their IP taken and profited from by non Indigenous people, corporations etc? The classic example is people selling art that is called ‘Indigenous’ and the artists are not Indigenous and maybe now not even a person, just an AI? In these kind of examples, the Indigenous folks are not able to earn profit from the value they have provided? I understand IP law is not effective, so what recourse do Indigenous people have?

My daughter bought herself a bit of bitcoin but I don’t think she really knows what it is and why it is a good thing to do. So that’s why I would love to find her a book that connects with her. Your observations all sound very plausible. Fiscal dominance will likely remain the dominant outcome. However, as you noted most observers applaud their efforts and it’s great to see government attempting to take responsibility. How long the Trump / Musk partnership will last in the face of a very difficult task will be interesting to monitor. In the meantime, what is a humble investor supposed to do in the middle of all these immense forces pulling the monetary relationships apart? Will bitcoin ever be cheaper again than now? Are the shrewd waiting for another big bear to scoop up more hard money?

Great interview- thanks for sharing Natalie. I am glad you pushed back and probed deeper on many of Jeff’s observations and thoughts as it helps us understand better. Your best push back was on Jeff’s assertion that investment will still be possible with hard money and people will not need to borrow as much as they would under a credit based system. A lot of people have trouble understanding this from within our current monetary experience. The owner of Tahinis in Canada has explained how people from his culture really like bitcoin because it undermines the credit based system and eschews interest being applied to loans. Well I am not an expert and only use a nano x. I want to learn about other wallets that are perhaps more secure such as cold card or bitbox 02. I am not very techie so I am a bit hesitant about the cold card. So I am reaching out to the knowledgeable people so see what their experience is with other hardware wallets.

Thanks for sharing Lyn. I can relate as I was caring for both my Mother and Father who were both dying of cancer at the same time. I was in my early 30’s. My Father fought to the end with every means possible - extending his life by a year but with very difficult treatments. My mother on the other hand just gracefully accepted it and passed very quickly but with a great deal of serenity. I remember my parents everyday by wishing them well every morning after meditation . I will wish for your parents too tomorrow morning.
