Pixelfed is broken on Yunohost, impossible to upgrade. Last time I tried to update it, there were non-solved security issues.
And it's now listed as a low quality app in the apps catalog. But is the low quality related to the pixelfed app itself, or the Yunohost version of it?

If my company got attacked on social media like Proton did, I'd also leave. They couldn't say anything without being attacked and called the worst names.
Their Instagram account is nice. They've got nice videos, some stupid jokes, and educational content. It's too bad that a lot of people on the Fediverse aren't able to get their content because of the many other people here that enjoy harassing others.

What would prevent an instance from adapting the Mastodon software and adding cool features, an excellent interface design and adding ads to cover hosting costs, the development and maintenance of the new Mastodon fork if donations aren't enough?
What would stop this type of initiative from existing and connecting to the Fediverse? Should it be forbidden? De-federated? Should we block their users and send them back to centralised platforms? 🤔

I did but there are no names there. :(
I may sometimes use open-source tools that I don't know who made them. But I don't feel comfortable using them for a browser. If it's a honeypot created by intelligence agencies or North Korean hackers, I have no idea. 😬

We don't often talk about it, but most Europeans use American card companies like Visa, Mastercard and Amex in their daily lives. Many people also rely on Paypal and similar companies for some transactions.
If there is a real war between the US and the EU, our financial security is at risk. If these operators stop working in the EU, people who rely on them won't be able to make purchases or withdraw money quickly from their bank accounts.

End-of-year celebrations are a great time to remember to be respectful of people who don't drink #alcohol. Everyone's reasons for not drinking are different, and that's okay. If someone says they don't want a glass of wine, that's fine. Just offer them a juice or a water instead and move on. 🙂

I can't stop thinking about it. One was prosecuted by the US for downloading copyrighted data from 1 source for noble purposes, and committed suicide to avoid prison. The other is widely celebrated for doing this on a much larger scale.
