It's just before 6 a.m. and I have loads to do at work today, plus starting the second week of radiotherapy during my lunch. So far they haven't heeded my request to use gamma rays rather than X-rays, so sadly no superpowers yet.

My neighbours to the east have started their evening routine of dragging heavy metal poles up and down the driveway over and over again, and the ones to the west are quarrelling outside about whose turn it is to pick up the dog poo.

I thought a building nearby imploded, but it's just the bass from my idiot neighbour's car pulling into his driveway. Seriously, there are works happening just down the road, and I genuinely thought they imploded the building.

I picked up a bottle of champagne today, thinking it might be nice to actually celebrate the new year for the first time in years.
But then I think about slipping it into my bag and taking it to my favourite beach for a champagne picnic-for-one, and then going for a swim.
And just keep on swimming...

There was a big corporate Zoom meeting this afternoon, and at the end, they thought they would do something fun. A few of us are new, so they asked each of us one of those "getting to know you" questions. When it was my turn, they asked me, "Which fashion trend would you revive?"
In a panic, I immediately blurted out, "PANTALOONS!"
