Today got away from me, so I am just now getting to this. I want folks, regardless of their employment status, to remember the following facts.
1. Rest is a right, not a reward.
2. Our value is independent of our work status and productivity.
3. Our identity transcends what we do to sustain ourselves financially.
4. No cavalry is coming. All we got is each other, so it is imperative we treat each other with love and care.

Feeling obsolete and defeated this morning. It’s my dumb brain’s fault, but there is also a kernel of truth to it. There are many good things happening/to be experienced. My coffee tastes good this morning. My kids’ hugs felt great. I am safe, well fed, and reasonably healthy. Hope folks are doing ok today.

@npub189n…satx @npub19fc…ay3c The right is desperately trying to defund public schools. They’ve succeeded in many ways in many areas. This funding toward vouchers is the first that needs to go. The next is poor wages and working conditions for our teachers.

@npub156n…mvgw I am not working currently. I do wear a mask when I go shopping. Our family does. Our family is still not eating in indoor restaurants. Our kids mask indoors at school and camp, but they do take communal meals. I am uncertain what the correct thing to do is.

Here are 3 good things about today:
1. I had an excellent row. I’ve increased my wattage without going above my max heart rate. My 5000m time is 2 minutes faster than it was last month.
2. I took a walk and no one was out. That’s nice sometimes.
3. Two squirrels got into a fight under the chair I was sitting in while I was reading in the backyard. It sounded hilarious.
