that's the social. subdomain, not the domain in your address. Such is not covered by #rfc7033 or any other rfc or w3c standard to the best of my knowledge. Make a http redirect and things work based on rfc/w3c standards.

I don't share the negativity and fatalism, your insults make me sad. The #billionaire #platforms aren't the #commons. They may do what they are to do. Build community scale places instead and put your things there, meet there. Federate. Don't force me to go to the billionaires to see your message. Fire up a #peertube or find a friend that did. Leave the ad & surveillance business models rather than hiding the ads. You can do it. Every step you make, makes the same easier for others. And if you can, you should.

IMO that's the wrong question. Let youtube do what youtube wants to do, they're not the commons. Let's ask ourself how we want to watch videos and reimburse the creators and their infrastructure.. And discovery. I resist to ads and surveillance (= stalking) being the only answer.
