Also poke/ping the hosting providers that they are hosting slop, scam .. I believe they are not interested in hosting them for free, drawing resources.

@nprofile…se3y I listen to predominantly English language podcasts, inserted ads are mostly Swedish .. but not all, I've gotten Spanish, German and French ads .. one think they would aim this a bit better.
And yes, no skipping either.

Hmm.. player.fm removed all these categories earlier this year;
acoustic, alternative, americana, blues, classical, country, drum-and-bass, drumming, eclectic, electronic, eurovision, folk, guitar, hiphop, j-pop, jazz, k-pop, latin-music, metal, music, music-industry, musicians, oldies, piano, pop, reggae, rock, soul, ukulele
.. seems to not wanna touch music at all.

Most of 2004 and 2005 done, onto 2006.
Found a few broken episodes, trying to find them through digital arkeology.

Pointed colleagues towards PI and everything, explained some stuff and pointed out PC20 podcast as the most experimental and feature-rich podcast out there .. "running with scissors". so, there will be a few more podcasts added in the near future using the podcast-namespace :)

Looking at how fragmented peertube instances are, where large chunks are isolated from fediverse and scattered hosts are producing material .. it's a deep rabbit hole.
But I've also found a way how to discover and scrape new instances .. to possibly add them to the index.
