I get annoyed when I'm watching a movie and there's a scene where everyone takes their cellphone out and starts filming or taking pictures (probably at an accident or something of sorts). Of course this annoys me IRL too; it's stupid and y'all should stop it.
Anyway, now I'm wondering if people who were in their 20s and 30s during the 90s got annoyed by something that was constantly portrayed in movies at the time.

It's #Kaijuktober! And to celebrate it I'm watching a #kaiju #movie every day.
Today's movie was: Godzilla, King of the Monsters! / 怪獣王ゴジラ (1956)
October isn't finished and neither am I!
This #film is an Americanization of Godzilla (1954), and a quite competent one if I might say so myself. With heavy use of body doubles and dubbed audio, it tries to gaslight you into believing the main character was there all along.
I give it 3/5 Kaiju

I tried miso paste once, it was the red one, I made a soup with shiitake mushrooms, it was good. I'm pretty sure I won't find miso paste in the supermarkets near me, I go to the supermarket four times a week and I'm always scouting for Asian products, LOL, but I know they have it in Chinatown, now I have another excuse to go.

First game I finish this December #FinalFantasy III for #PSP. I'm gonna be honest, this is trash. I didn't finish the game per se, why? Because after tens of hours grinding and making it to the final boss it killed me, couldn't I restart from the last save point? I could but this game doesn't allow you to save indoors so the last save point was in fact before entering and navigating the final dungeon, that's just bad game design for a game that is not even 20 years old.

I used to hate diacritical marks in #Spanish, then I started learning #English and it was obvious how important they were.
How can I tell if you are saying "produce" or "produce", "content" or "content", "record" or "record"? The obvious answer is context but not having to rely on context would be even better.
When seeing Spanish words, even in a vacuum , you can immediately get their meaning because of diacritical marks, "papa" is potato, and "papá" is dad, no confusion there.

Am I the only one that 1) didn't mind this, and 2) thought it actually made sense?
I'm referring to having to wrap a newly instantiated object in parenthesis before calling methods and/or accessing properties in #PHP.
I don't mind the change in PHP 8.4 tho, people smarter than me thought it was a good idea so I'm pretty sure they're right — I haven't checked the RFC either.
I haven't touched PHP in a while but I know other languages work like pre-8.4 PHP (e.g JavaScript).

yeah, if the Microsoft gaming division has proved something is how incapable they are, they felt way too short against the Sony PS5 and the handling of acquired studios has been a shit show, with the massive layoffs and everything. The scary thing is Microsoft could reshape gaming entirely with how much money they have and their history of acquiring everything and everyone.

I'm not very fond of NodeJS, compared to PHP or .NET it feels so barebones, you'd need a library for stuff you can do natively in other languages and that quickly adds up to the size and complexity of the project. I can see the benefits of it tho, having the same runtime — or at the very least two similar runtimes — in the frontend and backend is great for developer experience, but overall I'm not impressed.

Third game I finish this October: Harvest Moon Hero of Leaf Valley for PSP. I stupidly started this game af the beginning of the month thinking it would take less time than a JRPG, boy how wrong I was. The game is good, but it's very sandboxy, you could play it for ages, I secured one of the 20(!) possible endings and called it a day. If you plan on playing this one please do yourself a favor and grab a guide, don't be like me.

Apparently I got the "bad" ending, whatever that means, well forgive me mister videogame but I wasn't going to take time to explore and do side quests when a legion of creepy ass monsters were lurking the streets and hunting my ass.
Will I be replaying this and trying to get a better ending? In the future, who knows, in the mean time? No way José, I got too many other games in my backlog already, I'm not going to get fixated on this one.

Second game I finish this October: Silent Hill for Play Station. This game was on my list for quite some time, in fact, when I got my XBox 360 I installed Silent Hill HD Collection thinking the first game was part of it — spoiler alert, it wasn't.
This game is good, when it comes to creepiness Resident Evil got nothing on Silent Hill, like, more than finishing the game my main goal was not to have a heart attack, LOL.

I've been meaning to, I've seen recipes for red bean tofu, chickpea tofu, and lentils tofu, I'm intrigued by the idea but I don't think you can use it as a soybean tofu replacement for absolutely any recipe, i.e. I wouldn't try adding it to soup.

Second game I finish this September: Final Fantasy II 20th Anniversary Edition for PSP, and what a game! I probably haven't played a sequel to a JRPG this good ever before, unlike the previous entry we get some backstory about the main characters and not that chosen ones nonsense, the story is great with a couple of twists and turns here and there, the characters are great, the map is well designed, and the music is SPECTACULAR. Really, what a game.

First game I get to beat this September: Final Fantasy I 20th Anniversary Edition for PSP. I needed my JRPG fix and I went and got it, never completed a Final Fantasy before, I was planning on playing the SNES/SFC ones but then I realized they're available for the PSP so I'll be playing one through six on mine.
Not a lot to add here, this game is a classic for a reason, it ain't perfect but it's good enough.

The tenth game I finish this August: The Final Fantasy Legend for Game Boy. This game went from charming to annoying pretty quickly, it's a JRPG from the 80s and it's proud of it! You get thrown into the world with little to no context or backstory and are expected to defeat evil while going through random battles — lots of them — and annoying puzzles. That sounds like a 80s JRPG to me! I like it for what it is, tho I wasn't around back then to see it in all its glory.

The ninth game I finish this August: LocoRoco for PSP, what a wacky little game, one would expect something like this to be on a Nintendo console, easy to play but hard to master (if you want to get all the collectibles), short and sweet, and with a lot of personality. I liked it very much.
