We would decide a length and a resolution (say 1920x1080@30fps, 90 seconds), then how to partition those seconds and pixels among the participants. Layered? Sequential? Blended together? What is the topic of the day? B&W? Color? Which palette? What constraints do we apply?
We could have a whiteboard to have an overview of who is doing what. And some tools like a microphone, video camera, a green screen to record video and remove the background for easy layering...

Does anyone know why those back ticks are displaced? I've seen this for a year or two and I never looked into it... Sometimes in Github while writing markdown... It happens in one machine but not on the other.

I don't know what has been happening to Vimeo but it becomes worse and worse. Such a confusing and slow UI. I need to set +160 checkboxes one by one to delete the videos. If I click a bit off, it goes into a video page and I have to start again.
It feels as if they decided multiple time to change direction but never finish the redesign...
#PeerTube feels much snappier.

Migration complete. The funprogramming.org website now embeds #PeerTube videos.
Remaining tasks: delete Vimeo videos and migrate any other videos I want to keep before downgrading the account again.
This is one more step in years of closing accounts and moving 100% towards the Free Libre world.
BTW I'm not against paying for things, but I think Vimeo changed course and we are no longer on the same path.

All the videos embedded in www.funprogramming.org will be pointed at tubedu.org once they are all migrated.
So far I'm at 62 out of 154.
I didn't use the API but automated all the typing and clicking on the peertube instance using #bash and #xdotool :-)

I was checking some old VHS tapes at my grandma's place and found a recording showing an interactive art installation called Legible City. Apparently it has been exhibited for 33 years around the world. Quite an achievement to create art involving software that stays relevant for such a long time.

It's voting day in most EU countries.
The https://www.wahl-o-mat.de/ shows me green, left, climate focused parties at the top (80% to 91% match) and AfD at the bottom with 17%.
For one second I was happy to see that party at the bottom, until I realized how little I have in common with their voters and how different people's experiences can be.

Would be nice to not have the shapes slide, but then to produce a loop the contour lengths should be multiples of each other, and the increment in t values of each contour should take into account its length.
But this is #creativeCoding so no need to apply physics :-) Lets say the 2D shapes are made of 🧊 .

I still haven't tried the "hidden-line removal" feature in the Axidraw software, but at least in the simulation of these simple design it works fine.
In the past many of us implemented such a feature in our own coding environments. Now it seems to be built in :)

And I'm aware that it's easy to criticize... but what can I do. I went in not expecting much because of feedback from two friends. Didn't help. I couldn't have an emotional connection to the experience. Reminded me of laser shows I saw when clubbing in the 90s, but bigger. It made me consider what experiences I prefer. I think a movie, or a choreography or performer. Funny this, coming from someone who creates with computer code :-)

I know it's a huge amount of work to put together such a show. According to the video, between 52 and ~80 people working for a year.
Unfortunately I didn't enjoy it. I liked the sound better when Henke was involved. It was too pop for me, like a synthesizer demo with lots of arpeggios. I missed some kind of suspense or mystery... a story. The interview mentions it would be too messy projecting directly on the construction. I would have liked it better #vektor #berlin

49 repositories deleted, 59 to go. That was easy: mostly outdated forks. Now comes the harder part: my own repos or ones with changes not merged upstream #GitHub

Does anyone else feel good deleting stuff? Deleting files, posts, accounts... I feel lighter, liberated :-) I just deleted 10 repositories from #GitHub, about 90 to go. Most are just stale forks anyway. #springCleaning

Today I started migrating away from #Microsoft #GitHub. Something I wanted to do since 2018. So far I imported two repos into https://codeberg.org/hamoid Let's see how many of the 108 repositories I want to keep online. One more step away from the big Internet companies.
