I find it strange that we rail against the printer but yet we cheer it on. Are we doing it because it pumps our bags or think it's accelerates the transition? I hope it's the latter but then the collapse before the transition won't be pretty if we survive it.
Sorry for random serious post this just triggered something I ponder regularly.

It'll be delayed till after Blackrock's is approved so they ensure most money flows into the one they want on launch day. Even if they go live around the same time.

Long term incentives are important after the novelty of running a free relay wears off. Additionally free relays will work harder and harder as adoption arises.
Will the same incentives to sell information on users creep in? Aggregating info from zaps etc could identify those who haven't kyc'd into a Nostr client.

There were a few malicious assumptions stated as fact that might be a stretch but it's still an important assessment of what could go wrong in the long run.

I've contemplated this a few times but the small "what if" holds me back. Couldn't live with myself if I ruined my family's future. Super stays in traditional for now and BTC outside of it.

I think we will. The trick in scaling nostr is going to be providing useful functionality like this without repeating a few mega relays that are basically clones of Twitter and Facebook now but using nostr.

The stay humble part is pretty important here. Too much hopium posting around prices to the moon and comparing this week's price to ETH. Be grateful were on the right side of this bet and be considerate many unsuspecting people are getting FIAT wrecked now and in the future.
