30ml Strega (substituted with Galliano, second huge mistake!)
30ml Cynar
Build in a fancy glass with a big chunk of ice (in my case a perfect transparent ice sphere) and enjoy.
This one is really good, but with such strong ingredients it must be handled with care! I've had two and this morning my head was hurting!

22,5ml lemon juice
15ml still water
Pour everything in a small bottle (or scale up in a big bottle for a party!) and let it freeze overnight.
Remember to pull the bottle out of the freezer at least 15 minutes ahead of serving and enjoy!

I was intrigued, so I've discovered that in Bergamo and in Milano took place the "Food Film Festival", from the 20th till the 23rd of August 2025.
I'm sure you've already checked it, but it was a novelty for me.

The gin is a small local gem, it is called Ocì Ibò, with Brazilian botanics (albeit from a distillery near Milan called Birra Love 😁).
It has a delicious "green" flavor, like a civilized rum agricòle.
The vermouth it the always great Carpano dry.
It was difficult for me not to pour myself a second drink!

Pour everything in a small bottle and put it in the freezer, along with a coupe, for at least 6 hours .

Store in freezer for a couple of hours then pour yourself a good coupe and garnish with a lime wedge.

Tonight's #aperitivo #aperitif is a vatiation of the #freezermartini (dose for two Martinis):
150ml high proof gin
60ml Cap Corse grande reserve quinquina blanc
60ml still water
4 dashes of olive bitter
Bottle everything and let it freeze overnight along with two coupes.
This cocktail doesn't need any warm up before serving because of the highest proof of gin.
Delicious!
This is the first drink in three weeks!

It helps enjoying the cocktail longer.
I've tried both the "ice+water+absinthe" rinse and the "chilled glass+spray coat absinthe".
The first one let you enjoy a side absinthe shot, but the latter is more "flavor effective", IMHO.
You need to reshake another ASAP to discuss the matter further 😁😁😁

No #aperitif #aperitivo tonight, I'm still trying to recover from a bad flu, so I'll post one I've had during the last holidays, the #Negroni Bianco:
30ml Xoriguer gin
30ml gran quinquina white Cap Corse
30ml Luxardo Bitter Bianco
Build in a fancy glass with a big chunk of ice and garnish with an orange slice.
The bitternes of Cap Corse and the strong juniper flavor of the wonderful Spanish gin helps a lot the "weak" Bitter Bianco.
Absolutely delicious, and such a trompe-l'oeil!

It's an excellent cocktail, just be sure not to use an high ester agricòle (mine was a bit overwhelming).
