😂 see your point! High neck clothing was a fashion inspired by Queen Alexandra who wore high collars or chokers called "collier de chien" to cover up a neck scar, but who suggested she needed to do that isn't known. For c. 50 years she set trends, incl when left with a limp from rheumatic fever & some women started to walk with the "Alexandra limp" to emulate this. A horse was eventually given that as a name and the fashion mercifully petered out...
