Clearly @npub1p29…jlak 's support for a Palestinian State is just posturing. How would it be an independent state if the IDF is still there, and Palestinian involvement is strictly at a "technocratic level".

Maybe 'Fordian' would be more accurate. I hear Doug Ford and Danielle Smith are pals, and Ford seems to enjoy pushing his weight around in municipal affairs - bike lanes are a favourite target.

I guess my quibble is really his use of money when he's really talking about financialization, this #Neoliberal idea that instead of the government doing stuff, they should just throw money at the financial sector and let them do everything.
Their priority, of course, is always making more money. It doesn't "trickle down".
To fix the "resource allocation" problem, the tool is money. The problem as I see it is how the government spends that money (and yes, how it creates it in fiscally sovereign economies like ours). The government can't just redirect resources like in feudal times.

I'd argue that the problem isn't money per se but what the government does with that money. The Quantitative Easing approach is a good illustration. Rather than investing in the real economy to deal with the 2008 crisis, governments bailed out the investors in the hope that they would spend into the real economy.
This is the #Neoliberal approach, and it isn't working. Before the 70's governments invested directly eg; building the Trans Canada Highway and St. Laurence Seaway here in Canada. MMTers would agree with this (as well as taxing back what they're spending into the economy).

Canada Post is cheaper, though if you have lots of idle volunteers hand delivery might make sense.
Campaigns I've worked on use Canada Post when they want to get a piece out widely. We always avoid those border areas, though - that's a good place to put your volunteers so you don't drop outside of the riding (which confuses voters).

It could just be they opted to include some addresses not in the riding, rather than exclude some that were.
It's just how Canada Post works for admail. You have to choose certain "postal walks" and a few of them cross riding boundaries. You can include those, and drop some in out-of-riding mailboxes, or exclude them, and miss some of your electors.

#NanaimoLadysmith is a good example of that. @npub1cr4…tzgu shows the #CPC candidate leading with a projected 32% of the vote. It was a second @npub1tz8…z5mh seat taken by Paul Manly in 2019, but the @npub1x8c…97t0 took it back in 2021. A four way race.

I see #Alberta is spending their taxpayer's money on expensive ad buys again. The front and inside pages in today's #OttawaCitizen was filled with their pitch for #Ottawa to drop its production cap so they can keep pumping their dirty crude. Can't have been cheap.
No doubt it will give #PierrePoilievre's #AxeTheTax campaign a boost as well.
