Hello, @npub1m96…ag4y . The parasite technocrats leading generative #AI not only are destroying nature, but also stealing all our work from the open science and free culture community. So far, I see nothing being done on your side to prevent this massive plagiarism and theft.

To #Debian community: "Responsible Use Of Generative AI" is an oxymoron. GenAI is irresponsible and pernicious. Your voting means whitewashing Big Tech ecocide, destruction of Free Software & Culture and their agenda against the marginalized communities.
PS: A huge thank you for those Debian members that proposed and voted NoAI options.

Adopting and justifying #LLM output to develop Free/Libre kernel, operating system or application is an example of cognitive dissonance and moral contradiction. No system can be called itself free when is built on opression and ecocide.

“Satya, how about you show how Microsoft is killing Palestinians...How about you show how Israeli war crimes are powered by Azure?” Yelled Joe Lopez, a Microsoft firmware engineer.
The question should also go to people hosting their code in #GitHub, to the "open source" projects happily sponsored by Microsoft, and to the governments that have contracts with them.

Around 1992 I setup a small Bulleting Board called "spAIn BBS" hooked a couple telephone lines to USRobotics modems so people could dial in. We had a lot of fun back then, learning, sharing ideas and code with an emerging Free Software community.
Machine learning, decision support or pattern recognition alogrithms (eg, for medical imaging systems) have been around for many years and no one denies their benefit, but today's reality is different.
Bigtech is hijiacking the spirit of open science to make it big business. While GAFAM - with their devices and proxies in our media and govts- try to portray the ideas of scientific revolution and liberty in our society, is exactly the opposite. They are consuming an absurd amount of computational and environmental resources to manipulate people's minds for their non sancta agendas.
Just look around, the hype of AI has been around for some years and yet we have more social gradient, more obesity, more diabetes, more injustice, and more devastating wars.

2025-06-07 09:14:51 UTC

No, Von der Leyen. Healthcare won't be improved by #AI.
On the contrary, AI is destroying the future of healthcare. Its engines are stealing researcher's work and atrophying the brains of future health professionals.
Medicine is a social science that needs critical thinking, empathy and compassion. All very distant concepts from those powerful shortsighted technocrats ruling the European Commission, the only beneficiaries of those €200 billion.
