Joel Salatin thinks raising healthy chickens for eggs to sell can work just about anywhere near a big town or larger population.. _Pastured Poultry Profits_ .. you might be able to design their shelters, coops or whatever so that you can remain seated most of the time.. Hi I was wondering if you've every seen anything about the Indonesian Punk Band Marjilan? I heard of them through a great local Folk/Punk band (family), NanbuShiki. Jinta, the lyric-writer, organizer, gottan-player for NanBuShiki told me that Marjilan houses and works with street kids and music. I started following their IG account but can't read Indonesian. It looks like the work DIT (Do It Together) micro-food production in a slum in addition to concerts... Your post made me think of them and "Rebel Riot" in Myanmar "Buddha is Punk"..

Chomsky used to mention how the USA was off the charts with religious fundamentalism compared to other advanced(?industrialized?) countries.. Did you ever wonder if wasting energy is some sort of status hang-up? The more you can waste the greater you are.. I still haven't read _The WasteMakers_ but maybe the book would help me work out this idea that the economy has been about destructive waste for decades..
