We could say that people in the past were "a bit" more faithful and loyal than people nowadays because money yadda yadda. Or perhaps no one knew anything about what was around them because communication channels were trash and much more centralized.
But that's not the point. I find it difficult to believe that today in the United States some persons literally working for a "democratic" government weren't dog-eat-dog parasites that only love and care about money.
But if you say that they're that loyal and ant-level organized, maybe that makes some sense (again, I'm not denying the validity of your arguments)

I agree that what you are saying is a big problem. What I don't agree with is believing this is the root problem.
The most fundamental problem is far deeper: The existence and prevalence of people with hammers who believe that every problem is like a nail. I personally believe that is the most devastating plague in contemporary society and the thing that is damaging us the most. My question is: will this kind of people cease to exist in the future or will they prevail as a "necessary evil"?

On a different note, I think your idea of money not being consumable is problematic for me. The idea I have about consumption is: "The relatively irreversible change in the essence of a thing towards something less desirable for the owner"
In the case you were explaining, money passed from one person to another when they traded. Its essence changed from being "mine" to "not mine" in a somewhat irreversible way.
In my opinion, that looks like it was consumed. Is there something I'm missing in this case?

If it is about Nostr apps, I was thinking the other day about something like zap-credit. You give a credit to another npub through lightning and you demand from the receiver certain amount of money back in certain moment in the future (maybe under certain conditions). If the zap-loan is not correctly payed back, evidence will remain in the hash of the event. That would give me a sort of ledger of history about who is diligent with his credit and who is irresponsible. That would help me fund nostr developers that I consider trustworthy but it's not exclusive to Nostr, it could be any entrepreneur in the world
