i’ve owned one battery powered mower. It was an echo. About five years ago.
Unfortunately, it didn’t work out because the batteries died far too quickly. And I’m talking permanent death not just ran out of juice though they were light on that as well.
Milwaukee makes a dual batttery push mower that is very expensive. But looks solid. Dual 12 amp batteries.

back four or five years ago when we lived in Georgia in a suburb, we had a planter around the base of our mailbox. We planted a number of pepper plants there.
The neighbor boys asked “are those peppers?” Since they were a touch hot for our taste we told them to take all they wanted. Being tweens they took them all.
I never did hear what they thought of them. But at least they learned that peppers can be homegrown.

many, but not all of these type devices are there to help people with disabilities.
I have essential tremors. For me threading a needle would be extremely challenging. I’m unlikely to need to do that, however because for me using the needle would likely be very bloody.

I made this map back as a teenager. I believe it was. Anyway, I can’t remember the name. But I do know that several of my friends used the friggin hell out of this map.
I’m trying to remember the name of the game. And I know somebody out here will remember it. It was a computer game, not a TTRPG. And it was a space game. Those are systems. And jump points or something like that between them.

how often do you collect from woodpecker holes? I think it’s mainly flickers that will drill a line of holes in a tree to let the sap run down.
At least one rare species of southern USA woodpecker does this below its nest to create an irritation barrier for snakes, attempting to raid for eggs.

for around 17 years. I was the proud owner of Harley Macaw. A blue and gold with the personality of a Scarlet.
Before I had him, he lived in an aquarium store. He was infamous for luring small children close to his cage by making cute noises.
He would then scream at top volume, which was considerable - while suddenly throwing his wings out to their full extension. This terrified the children, and they would cry and scream. He found this hilarious.

Yeah, I just scanned down through the first four or five.
At a previous house, I restored a yard that had been scraped down to hard Georgia red clay. On 1/3 of an acre I tossed out well over 2000 pounds of coffee grounds. I got coffee grounds from several different Starbucks and several different independent gas stations. For like two years.
By the time we left, the soil was dark and fertile. Earthworms had gone from almost nonexistent to extremely common.

if you live where there are earthworms, just toss the coffee grounds out on the ground. The earthworms will pull them into the soil. And they will decay in place.
They do not acidify the soil. The acid stays in the cup at least with hot brew it does I don’t know about cold brew.

I've a (real world) friend who is interested in Mastodon. I've known her about 40 years. She is a bit hippyish, likes english translations of old french literature, has been very poor her whole life...
Loves to read, do things herself (such as auto repair), stretch a dollar till it screams, is prone to mild conspiracy theories... etc. Dice.camp is NOT a good home for her.

I hope so too! Back in the late 70's, my brother and I would entertain ourselves outside under the big pole light, by throwing little rocks up. The bats would catch them, figure out they weren't food, and drop them.
I feel bad about this now.

These devices work by reporting through the nearest android - or iphone for airtag - devices.
Short of having an always on android device that functions as a receiver as well present in the house, I don't know how to improve your coverage.

Those are innate to Mastodon.... I've seen a call for that before, I think. You can turn off boosts for a specific user, and only see their original posts, if that's a help.
You can use the advanced web interface to get a multiple column layout in the web. (I use this. I don't use an app anymore).

Any good meditation apps that are very low price? I can't afford Headspace at the moment (which I used and loved once upon a time). I need to calm my brain, and get my concentration back. I also can't do it on my own.... yet. That will come back.

The reason red/yellow bell peppers cost more than green bell peppers is the bright ones are ripe.
After the plant produces them, its done. No more, or very few peppers. The green ones don't trigger that. You get more of the green unripe ones because the plant keeps churning them out.

Any good links for container gardening in New England? I live close to a lake, and there are waaaaaayyyyyy too many squirrels, mice, and chipmunks to make outdoor gardening feasible.
I figure moveable containers so I can move them out on the back porch during some days, and back into the sunroom when required.

If earthworms are native to where you are, collect (hot brew) coffee grounds. Get them from Starbucks, gas stations, whatever, and just put them straight on the ground. Earthworms will pull them into the soil. It will take a *lot* of them, in a smaller area, but it will improve water handling of the soil. And overall fertility.

I had a EGO mower for a couple of years. It worked, but those batteries are way too short lived (total life span, not till it runs of charge). I have a Milwaukee weed eater. much better. If I had 1200 bucks for a push mower, I would have the mower. But I don't, so I don't.

One thing to watch for - I ran into this in North Georgia - are rodents.
They too enjoyed hiding under the cardboard. I'm not sure why they liked the cardboard so much more than the mulch, but they did for that particular location.
It's just something to look for (and now, in that same area, I imagine I would need to look for hammerhead worms.)

I never though I would be eating a bell pepper like some folks eat apples.

You know why Green bell peppers are cheaper than the colored bell peppers? The colored ones are ripe. The plants "know" they have produced finished seed for the year, and start slowing production. Green ones aren't ripe. The plants don't slow production of more after they are picked.

Man, nostalgia took a long long time for me to see someone calling Windows 3.11 good.

It wasn't. I suppose I should qualify that with "to me it wasn't".... but..... it wasn't.
.
However, if it fits your use case, go for it.
I do know of one that was in production use into the 2010's. In Manufacturing, which won't surprise anyone.

Even if you stay on top of maintenance - which most folks don't (How often do you have someone out to tune up the AC?) Crawl under the house? (if you have a crawl space), pop a ladder up to look at the roof?
