Totally agree on that, and also... yes, the first film is great. I looked for Big Top on DVD, but it's hard to find. That chick... I think she was in Hot Shots... very cute.
I was surprised about the Netflix movie he did as Pee-wee before he died. Despite the gay undertone, it was a funny road trip flick. Also they did huge digital work on Paul, which wasn't obvious to me.

You know... I have a Bible, which I got before my 2020 first main Middle East trip of Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, Palestine, and Egypt. I was really going to treat it like... read a book of literature. Because there is a lot in there that is part of our collective literary foundation. Sadly, I think I only got 20 pages into it.
It would just be fun to know more about the context of some stuff than those who misquote stuff... 🤣

This is short-term theatrics. I haven't heard any retired military or military analysts painting a good picture for the U.S. as time goes on.
Iran is using much restraint.

Do you like Korn? I had friends getting into them at the time, and I thought the music was interesting, but I just couldn't get into the lyrical focus. Nu-metal to me (to be real nu-metal) was kind of whiny self-analysis.
Like, for example, I do not consider System of a Down or Static-X to be nu-metal.
Also, there are other bands pre-Korn who had self-therapy and kind of whiny topics, who I have in my collection... NIN and Life of Agony.

Doing this language exchange thing for the past two months here in Korea on weekend... it's a two-hour deal, where you have three groupings of four people at the table, and every 40 minutes, you're shuffled to another table. It's three shuffles per night. The place is in a bar/dance club, and after it ends, if you stick around, you can get a free drink.
It's been quite interesting. There's been people from lots of countries there.

King Diamond and Cypress Hill (two different nights) were 50 euros for each in Greece. I was able to get right up to the side of the stage.

That would've been very interesting... I saw Megadeth so many times via festivals, some as headlining, some as opening... Slayer three times... Anthrax twice (once with Bush and then with Belladonna)... and Metallica only once. It was the Big Four thing.
Metallica definitely ain't my favorite thrash band, but they put on an awesome show the one time I saw them.
I want a teleporter to live in your area to be seeing some of these shows now... 😠

Very jealous... I remember you mentioning Kreator before too. I barely ever see concerts anymore. Pre-COVID, we used to get bands stopping in Korea when they did their Japan tours. Not anymore.
Although last summer in Greece, seeing King Diamond and Cypress Hill was good.

This is the ninth Billy Corgan's show interview I listened to... like listening to the radio, because I play it in the background... these are mostly quite enjoyable.
This one with Richie was quite interesting. Back in the 80's, as someone into thrash... these bands were the enemies... 🤣
But Bon Jovi's stuff back then, catchy and well crafted.

Via Movie Roulette... two 2010 movies that I watched as I did various whatever computer work.
I don't know Ian Dury's material at all. I liked the music in this movie, and the actors were excellent. Cool style... I'd almost add it as a favorite. I just have to get some albums by Ian or his Blockheads.

I go to this language exchange thing here in Korea on weekends. It's 90 minutes, and every 30 minutes, you go to a table with three other usually different people... it's Koreans, and people from countries ll over the world.
Last night, two of the girls were from Russia... St. Petersburg.
When we were talking about movies, I said, "I've never paid for a streaming service. I just go on Yandex and I can find almost any movie, way old or very new, and watch it there."
They knew Yandex. 🤣

I probably could have made a good kind of spy... because I have that writer/reporter thing in me.
There are three types of people in conversation when meeting someone...
a. those who talk about themselves, and don't really care what the other person is saying
b. those who are more interested in what others are saying, for slightly ulterior motives
c. those interested in a genuine conversation
When I travel, I am always b. and a bit of c., depending on the person.

It's amusing to see this shark cage scene. I did a thing in one of these in South Africa in 2023. It's misleading, because the great whites haven't been spotted there for a LONG time due to orcas killing them. They get on each side and tear great whites in half to get at their liver.
I did see other sharks while in this cage... but I've done two actual scuba dives specific for sharks... one in Fiji, and one in the Philippines for the thresher shark.

This came up on my spin of the Movie Roulette Wheel... this is from the Korean director who did Parasite and Snowpiercer, as well as other Korean language movies. Mother is a very good one.
As for this one, I might give it an add to "get it on DVD for my collection."
So I liked it quite a bit.

Coming from an Asian perspective [I am an illiterate Korean, by the way]... hopefully our corner of the globe looks at 'Murica, ashRahl, the EU, and what's happening with this attack on Iran, and is like... what the FOOK?
Being in South Korea, North Korea can get froggy... or maybe it's time for that slow 50-year Korean peninsula reunification.
'Murica done took its THAD system back from us in South Korea to protect those ashRahlis. And WE (because I pay taxes here) paid for it.
