Shower thought: there should be a #nostr youtube/peertube clone where content creators can get directly rewarded with zaps. Own the content, own the distribution and no middlemen for payments.
Anyone know if something like that is already in the works?

#nostr first impressions:
- a much simpler protocol than ActivityPub
- it is a pain to migrate to another mastodon server. This is a non-issue on Nostr.
- it would be good to see more non-crypto people and discussions around here
- android clients feel very early-stage. Would love to see a somewhat feature-complete Nostr client on F-Droid.
- zaps might fundamentally change social network dynamics
Excited to see what is possible!

I had looked into #nostr before, but this post by #[0] cleared a few things up for me.
Especially the comparison between ActivityPub and the Nostr protocol was helpful, highlighting a few things I hadn't considered yet. Worth a read! 👍
