One tiny detail that makes #agents safer: X-Request-Id.
If your #bot retries a request (timeouts happen), the oracle won’t double-charge verifications for the same request id. That’s huge for #autonomous loops.

The reasoning endpoints interval is set at 300 seconds, so every 5 minutes de #agent calls 3 agent-native reasoning endpoints to self-budget:
- GET /v1/usage/forecast → when will I run out at the current pace? (BUFFER_HOURS=12)
- GET /v1/recommendation/topup → which plan should I buy to cover the next N days? (TARGET_DAYS=3)
- GET /v1/usage/by-endpoint → where am I spending verifications? (Gives you the amount of requests/verifications per #bitcoin market data endpoint: price, volume, liquidity, funding&open interest, full snapshot).

The #oracle doesn’t provide any #trading signals. It only provides real time market data, which agents use to make their own trading desicions.
You don’t get correlated executions like you mentioned; every Agent’s desicion about the data is different according to their own trading #strategy.

That’s what the #oracle does. It provides you with only one #L402 call when you top-up a plan. Then you get a fixed amount of requests/verifications that you can budget.
The oracle doesn’t request an invoice for every call. This reduces the latency to the minimum.

It is behind L402. That’s why the #agent or #bot pays a top-up plan once (example1000 #sats) and receives 200 requests/verification to budget. The verification/requests are managed as credits internally.
Bigger plans improve the cost of sats/verification.

Appreciate your reply. The #oracle also has bigger plans for bigger #verification volumes. The basic plan is the trial (1000 sats for 200 data requests/verifications), it’s a starter one; but bigger plans improve the sats/verification costs.
Examples:
10000 sats - 2500 verifications
100000 sats - 30000 verifications
All the way up to the10M #sats plan for 10M verifications (1 sat/verification).

100% fair.
HTTPS JSON is a “service trust” model (you trust the operator + uptime + sources), which is why we expose `sources` + `staleness_ms` and keep it low-latency for agent workloads.
A Nostr-native signed #feed is a different model: you #verify a signature (and maybe multi-sig/multi-source), so “who signed it” becomes the core primitive. That’s interesting, but it’s also a different product surface (distribution, replay/replaceable events, aggregation).
My take: keep both.
- HTTPS for high-throughput queries (agents need speed)
- Signed Nostr events as an optional verifiable #broadcast layer (latest snapshot, proofs, etc.)

Totally, that’s exactly why NWC is such a good baseline for autonomous #agents: you delegate “can pay” without dragging #wallet internals into every agent runtime.
Re: budget limits per-agent: yes, that’s on our radar. Right now we have caps/cooldowns in the Oracle Autopilot (so the agent can’t top up endlessly), and the API key budget is naturally bounded by the prepaid verification balance.
The next step is to make delegation cleaner at the wallet layer: if the NWC wallet supports budgets/allowances (per-connection, per-interval, max sats), operators could hand an agent a scoped NWC string instead of full spending authority.

Good pointers. Agreed that #NIP47/#NWC + the Alby ecosystem is the “agent payments” baseline on Nostr.
Right now our oracle is intentionally simple: an HTTPS JSON API (OpenAPI) with prepaid verifications + low-latency cached snapshots (Binance spot + Deribit perps). It’s designed to be plug & play for autonomous agents that already have an NWC wallet.
We’re not publishing signed price events to Nostr yet. But I agree the “nostr-native oracle feed” could be uniquely valuable. If we do it, we’d likely ship:
- a periodic signed snapshot event (price/vol/liquidity/funding/OI + freshness + sources)
- probably as a parameterized replaceable event (kind 30078) so clients can always grab “latest”
- and keep the HTTPS API as the high-throughput path.
Data format today: plain JSON over HTTPS (includes `staleness_ms` + `sources`), and a plug & play autopilot client for NWC wallets:

Love the details. Starting with hosted #AlbyHub is the right move (keeps the wallet/NWC side simple so you can focus on the #L402 flow).
Per-endpoint scoping is exactly the kind of safety rail autonomous #agents need. One tool going rogue shouldn’t be able to drain the whole budget. (Also: macaroons are resource-scoped + TTL’d, so you can keep auth tight per endpoint.)
On the timeout edge case: 100% agree. FYI `/v1/paywall/verify` is idempotent per `payment_hash` (we only charge once), so optimistic retry is the right pattern. If you’re willing, what timeout were you hitting client-side (and are you caching by payment_hash until `valid_until`)?
No pressure on throughput numbers. Even a quick issue with “timeouts + your stack” would help us turn this into a documented best practice:

Great breakdown, that math is exactly why we went per‑verification. Operator cost scales with successful paid unlocks, not raw request volume, which is what a #DVM needs once bots start hammering it.

This is exactly the pain we’re aiming at for #NIP90 #DVM operators: going from “free service that bots hammer” to “paid service that autonomous agents can actually use”.
On latency: satsgate keeps its part tight (FastAPI + SQLite + macaroon/preimage checks — no LLM in the hot path). The variable part is invoice settlement. With an automated #NWC payer (Alby Hub / self‑hosted), that step can be fast, and you can also pay once + reuse/cache the L402 token until TTL (cache by payment_hash/valid_until) so the rest of the session feels real‑time.
And yep, prepaid payment verifications are basically the operator’s budget (no expiry). It’s not custody and not a % fee. Your users still pay your #Lightning Address; satsgate just verifies the paid unlock.

That’s a really good framing: “verifications balance = budget an agent can reason about” is exactly what we were aiming for.
Re latency: on the happy path it’s basically just FastAPI + SQLite + macaroon/preimage checks, so it stays snappy. (The invoice payment itself is obviously the slow part, but that’s on the payer/wallet side.)

How to recover a multisig wallet using the recovery file in various wallets (ex: Electrum, Specter, Sparrow). Because each of them have their own recovery file format and are not compatible with each other most of the time.

Try to avoid the technical part and how to use it between users at first. Introduce them to the reasons of why stuff prices go up over time; explain that it is because fiat currency can be printed out indefinitely by governments which causes its value to go down, making you to give more of your currency to buy the same stuff.
Then introduce them to the concept of scarcity (without bringing up bitcoin yet); why the things that are more scarce tend to be exponentially more valuable over time (collectibles like limited art or car versions, some commodities, etc). After that, when they understand the concept of scarcity and value, bring bitcoin up and tell them about its finite supply; make a comparison between the examples above and bitcoin, “if those items are valuable because they’re relatively scarce, imagine something finite like bitcoin” kind of speech.
Then you can start introducing them on how bitcoin works from a basic level technical approach, and how it’s supply cap is fixed and its mining rate can’t be accelerated besides more miners trying to get it.

The term “stablecoin” just means that it’s value doesn’t fluctuate versus another currency. However, its real value and purchasing power behaves the same way as fiat. It’s just a digital version of fiat in the cryptocurrency world that you can use as a bridge to acquire another crypto.

You definitely need a few #nostr clients like #primal #damus and #nostur to interact with the protocol from different perspectives.
Each client gives you something the others don’t have. For example, it’s easier to #zap someone from #damus and you can pick many popular wallets to do so; while in #primal you have to create a wallet with some personal information required in order to zap.
I personally like how #primal has some clear statistics regarding #notes posted in your timeline and profiles’ headers, while #damus is clunkier in this regard; you have to enter into a note to see its numbers (zaps, reposts, likes, etc.), otherwise it doesn’t load its statistics from the timeline view.
I’m just beginning to try #nostur client and I noticed that it has a very good tab arrangement regarding notes from people you follow, exploration and even articles; but it is not very friendly looking for #hashtags topics apparently.
Maybe we’ll have some standards regarding clients as this ecosystem continues its evolution over time.

I don’t understand why #primal asks you for all this personal information in order to activate your #wallet.
While on #damus you can choose a bunch of third-party wallets to #zap people without giving up any personal information.
