Thought;
#LLM Fabrication under pressure (halucination), strategic opacity (obfuscation) , and defection in cooperative games (prisoners dillema) are characteristics of #AiSlop
But not surprisingly, these are also HUMAN operating parameters.
What the neo #luddites point to as an example of #Ai failure is actually a manifestation of human foibles and failures. Thus should not come as a surprise as the training body is (as we are repeatedly reminded) stolen from humans.
One of the reasons Ai is hated is because its a mirror of who we are. A somewhat caricaturish reflection of the deceitful and selfish behavior of us.
What is more interesting to me, is how some of Ai jihadists elevate Ai to perfection status and act disappointed when it fails their expectations.

#Tasmania forests are proper wilderness
As close to temperate climate jungle as you can get.
I taught my nephews this technique.
As soon as you realise you lost your trail.
Mark a tree/landmark (say with a shirt).
Then walk in a straight line away from the marker, repeat in all cardinal and intercardina directions for 30meters. Extend range if you don't find trail.
Walk cautiously checking ground with a pole so you don't fall into a ravine/twist foot.
Personally, I always keep the rough bearing to the sun for reference, even when I use GPS.

Have never driven an electric before.
So super happy with it. It's got twice the power of my Urban ICE, is quite zippy (even though the reviewers say it's "not so zippy"), super ergonomic, feels like a car 40K more expensive.
Looking forward to not paying a red cent, refuelling it from my solar panels.

Spicy take:
The good is not a destination. It's a bearing you keep recalculating.
Evil doesn't need malice. It just needs someone who stops checking. The worst crimes in history weren't driven by monsters, they were driven by people who let the machinery think for them. The failure wasn't cruelty. It was mindless following.
Positive inversion: If the failure is not-seeing, then the discipline is looking. At the person in front of you. At the situation as it actually is, not as your comfort or ideology or habit needs it to be. This is harder than any act of will, because the self constantly warps the picture through your own biases.
Goodness isn't a set of principles you install and forget. It's a practice of noticing. And the moment you think you've got it figured out, you've already started drifting. Every fixed moral system eventually becomes the tools of oppressor the bureaucrats hide behind.
Evil is what happens when you stop adjusting.
Good is the effort of never stopping.

I live in a country with zero nuclear energy, by best estimates it would take us 30 years to bring one online. In the meanwhile 74% of our power is renewables with 300 days in a year on full renewables. By 2027 we will be fully 100% renewable.

#RWNJ in #SouthAustralia are running TV ads aimed at their moronic base, promising to destroy #renewables in SA because they blame #solar and #wind for high costs.
Here are the #renewable #facts
#electricity is complicated;
🔴 Wind and solar power gen dropped from ~$120/MWh to $32/MWh recently (-x4)
🔴 Dirt cheap (wind/solar ~$32/MWh vs coal ~$90/MWh) (Solar x3 cheaper than coal)
🔴 Network costs more, but it's no more than +10-15%. In part, because bigly state few huuumans.
🔴 So why is power so expensive?
1) Retailers locked in prices. They bought contracts when wholesale was expensive (~$120/MWh in 2023). Those contracts are still running. They're not paying today's $32/MWh spot price yet.
2) DMO/VDO pricing lags. Regulated price was set based on older, higher wholesale forecasts. Next reset might capture the savings.
3) Network costs rose faster, While wholesale dropped 40%, network costs rose ~10-15%.
4) Retail costs increased - Smart meters, hardship programs, bad debts all went up post-COVID.
TLDR; Privatised power uses crapitalist (market) principles.
Nothing to do with renewables, everything to do with fat, monocle and tophat wearing parasites.

Personally I have stopped including hashtag-russia..
... Because frankly I have no desire to hear what bandits, thieves, rat rapists and war criminals have to say.
There is some marginally readable literature, mainly based around how shitty their cuntry has been ever since their golden horde masters have left that slave nation masterless, but it is a language of horrible people with horrible culture and I will be making no effort even one bukva of it remains in human memory.

Settin up @npub15vt…leh5 on my new fon.
So #infosec tight, the Euros dont love it at all saying it enables crime.
I have no illusions that it is fully secure /wave @ NSA but its tighter that #IOS and #Android
❤️ What I am loving so far, is you can create your user profile, then as ICE is smashing your door with sledgehammers (and you can keep you cool head) switch to the Owner profile, and erase in its entirety the Every day profile.
Or you can erase your profile (not sure how to back it up fully yet).
If you are visiting a fascist dictatorship like China, USA or russia.
💔 What I DONT love.
A side effect of the security. Trying to enable VoLTE carrier function for the user profile (It works on the owner profile) to make calls out.
🔧 Edit-Solved: The phone settings must be enabled in Owner profile as the User profiles do not have call out enabled by design. Inherrited from the Open Android design.

Over decades, I've been in many #2ndA #Gunrights "debates"
American and Australian, literally every single one the key "Argument" was;
"I need my guns to stop #tyrants"
And now they do have a tyrant, many of these Nazi cunts are signing up for the $50K #ice bonuses.
I used to be in a gun club in my youth (Australia) and still have some gun toting friends and a nonzero number of them definitely have underlying fantasies about wielding their guns in their head canon hero apocalypse.
It's disingenuous to claim they don't.
Speaking as a former gun owner, the "fun" aspect of gun ownership is a stretch. You can have more fun with a drill or a mitre saw. Unless you dream of killing things, for whatever reason.
NB. There are some real nutters in that "community", in many years online, the only time I was doxxed and pursued was in a gun "debate"

Think about it this way.
Explaining EM radiation, Integrated circuitry or software to Socrates or Newton would have similar level of difficulty.
One needs a certain level of foundational knowledge to absorb certain ideas.
There is increasing number of evidence (including papers) that suggest universe is non-local and minds that matter increasingly theorise that time and space are not fundamental.
But above all, the first step would be to replace "Lol" with "Let's look at the evidence that's out there"
Imagine what technology 300,000 years of continuous improvement would look like.
As AC Clarke would say "Indistinguishable from magic"

2025-11-11 19:08:16 UTC

"NHI/ #UAP capabilities make a lot more sense when you understand that there is some #consciousness based non-local physics that any advanced species can exploit. A society that masters such things will be the masters of telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, psychokinesis, opening worm holes, etc. And also, it would be natural the #NHI to be adept at astral projection (AP), which is a state where you are cutoff from the physical senses and your consciousness can roam around. There is some veridical validation of AP, but not a lot. People have done AP and retrieved hidden 5-digit numbers for example. The experiments are a bit messy because there is a much broader #reality out there."
NB. It's one of the many reasons powerful factions are keeping the #phenomenon contained, it's not just about power (societal and energy) but also about the fundamental nature of the universe.

Cool Story.
Have a look at the work of Professor Donald Hoffman a #neuroscientist.
He has a theory that humans evolved their senses to only pick up and process sensory data that immediately aids survival.
Considering this, humans are functionally blind, we only pick up about 0.3% of the EM spectrum, not to mention any pan-dimensional shenanigans.
TLDR; Shits real yo, we can't see it tho.

Oh yeah, no doubt.
A Carrington event today would lead deaths of billions.
Entire logistics chains are IT based. Most modern vehicles have tens of computers, all of comms would be down.
No food, no water, no transport, no comms, no data.
I used to work in "business continuity" as it was called then and certain things like Global Pandemics, Carrington Events etc were considered "out of scope"...
... Executive speak for "We're fucked anyway" 😐
