My website has about 1,000,000 words.
Chapter 6 gives an explanation on how to PEACEFULLY move from western democracy to the TDG.
I wrote the fourth edition of the TDG book in 2017. I have new insights since then, so I probably should rewrite it. But this edition is still 85% of where I think it should be.
All my work is available for a free read.

I spent six years as an active volunteer in a Canadian political party. My conclusion was that this culture is dysfunctional--and that is why we can't find the solutions we need to find.
And somehow, I invented another democracy that addresses all the dysfunction I was seeing. The basic feature is that there are no political parties in the TDG.
If you say "That's impossible," it will only take you 3-4 hours to understand how this TDG works.

I took a look at the Bernie video. I have heard this rhetoric before. But ultimately, Bernie's solution is to put the Democratic Party in charge. Given its recent history, is that we really want?
Bernie went through an effective line of questioning in the video. I'll just turn this on you:
Dave says: "The USA needs to build a new democracy."
Bernie will say, "That's impossible."

From my observations on the Medium forum, nobody is asking these questions.
Yes, they want to "avoid falling off the cliff night now" and to do that, they urge people to vote Democrat, if not be on the street protesting.
But the Democrats are a big reason why the USA is on the edge of a cliff.

In general, if the directions of the CEOs are wise, we will see their companies advance in five to 20 years. Short term bonuses, just for occupying the high chair, are not rewarding profits, practically speaking.

But I do have an alternative democracy we could be building.
This democracy needs to be built outside the current system, otherwise it will compromise itself.
No violence needed. Just be the good example--and put those 10 hours a month into this project.

Rojava is one of several non-conventional systems of governance, operating at the local level: Cecosesola (Venuezuela), Barangay (Philippines), Zapatista (Mexico), and the "provincial" governments of Northwest Territory and Iqaluit (Canada). All these systems are less based on partisanship. They are showing that it is possible to govern without political parties.
We just need to take this idea to a higher level.

If the term "constitution" has a negative feeling, then maybe use another term.
One useful purpose of a constitition is to specify how the decision-makers are elected and the boundary they have to work within.
Without these "guidelines," then differences of opinion are likely to break apart any community building project.

I suspect most of these early meetings will happen in a living room of a TDG member.
If the early builders want to try a street corner, I say "Give it a try."
These challenges will be solved by the early builders.
BTW, I suspect most early TDG builders will number only a handful of the 200-resident neighborhoods. The rest of the neighbors will not care.
No need to find a majority.

I did some constitutional writing in my political days. For many people, including political junkies, this task is not fun.
While not fun, rules need to be written for the political elite will not write the rules for a new democracy.
Anyways, I believe the early TDG builders will bond with this task. They will see a bigger part of the vision of what people can do when they truly work together.

Local TDGs will start as independent units. When their self governance is working well, they will merge with adjacent TDGs. In this way, the TDG grows from the bottom up.
Chapter 6 describes the process more fully.

Methinks similarly.
A top down revolution will only find a new top down hierarchy (take Cuba as the example).
The TDG starts as small independent units. When their systems of internal governance are working well, these TDGs merge with adjacent TDGs. As the TDG grows in this way, its local culture is retained.

My recent observations on Medium and Mastodon suggest that more people are waiting for the next revolution to bring in a better system.
The Cuban Revolution is a good example of the more likely outcome. Batista was bad. Castro was not as bad. Is this outcome acceptable?
Building "anarchistic communities from the ground up" is the solution. The TDG is a mechanism for this social/political change.

My hypothesis is that humanity will eventually gravitate toward the Orwell Ratio, where 2% of the population get to control the other 98%. Not necessarily a master plan; it just happens because of human nature.
But lots evidence for a master plan. But who can stick to a plan for five or six decades? Maybe the planners got lucky.

I don't believe there is a free lunch with QE. While we can leverage our "debt," QE should not be regarded as a printing press. We need smart, ethical people running our central banks, to keep our vehicle from driving in the ditch.

For two years, I belonged to a debating society. If our discourse was in a formal debate, you would have lost.
Debating requires presenting points to support your cause and refuting points made by your opponents.
Calling your opponent an "ignoramus" is not a refutation.
But this kind of discourse is what the internet is teaching people these days.
So it is understandable when people resort to these techniques.

The CPC had to adapt to find prosperity for its people. It had to borrow a lot from the "evil" west. One of those adaptations was to provide a more market-driven economy.
The communists under Mao would have kept China in a backwater.
Long term results? I think we need to wait a few more decades.

From the link you provided, most of the CCP deputies were well educated. The working classes were not represented.
The aftermath of WW2 lifted many Americans and Canadians out of poverty as well, although I don't there was a master plan as well.
The Marshall plan was a master plan, and it seems to have worked.
Communism is not the only vehicle to accomplish this social goal.

I took a look at the link. It was interesting. But I suspect it was biased. I would like to know how much "free discussion" is allowed at the lower levels of the party or in society in general. If the population lives in fear of upsetting the top leaders, I would not regard this as a well run society.
There's little I see in Chinese governance that is worthy of implementing elsewhere.

Whether mentally-ill people are PTSD, addicted, psychopathic, or whatever, they should be dealing with their issues, not bringing their issues into high-level decision making.
We need a system that filters out people with mental health issues from serving in high public office.

I belong to The Saners.
Founder Ray Katz is trying to unite many environmental activists under one banner. His treatise is that 10m activists spending five minutes a week is better than 100 activists spending 40 hours a week.
When our elected leaders see The Saners' logo, over and over again. They just might do something.

We need a new model for commerce.
Check out the "spolu." When a spolu is profitable, it pays its corporate taxes. Then it pays investors, employees, customers, and suppliers. It also pays the philanthropies that show the spolu's values.
In other words, the spolu exists to distribute its profits.

RCV would be an improvement. But it will still produce one side or the other getting their mandate with a slim majority. And who gets that slim majority (and gets to write history) often depends on the silliest of happenings during the election campaign.
