And (at the risk of upsetting people at large) The Lion King live. I saw it in London not long after my dad died and it really stuck with me, though I couldn't watch it again for the longest time. I was brave and saw a gorgeous production in German in Hamburg recently. I cried a lot. It's an emotional connection.

@nprofile…65q8 I researched this for my site and found a plugin that could do it. But it only worked on the blog post page. This was a couple of years back, so maybe things have changed.
I'm not a technically-minded person and I think in the dark days when I set up my site, I just chose a theme that doesn't support a lot of things. :)
Might look into it again though, with something like the content I offer, I can see how it might be useful to someone who doesn't want to disturb their sleeping partner.

Neurodivergent conditions often come with comorbidities. I’m a late-diagnosed autistic person, and I strongly suspect I’m also ADHD and dyslexic.
Comorbidity. The word says a lot about how these divergences are perceived by society.

@nprofile…65q8 thank you! I call it swimming, but to be honest it's mostly floating around with occasional bursts of energy to get from a to b.
It's a lovely pool though, great demographic of people, and a fair few older like me who're just there for immersion and relaxing. And best of all, not too full.
It's a sport complex. They also have kid specific pool and a pool for those serious swimmers.

Good morning!
The early morning fog has cleared and the sun is shining. The ships are still blowing their fog horns though. Maybe it's still foggy over the fjord, or maybe they just like to continue greeting each other.
Our neighbour's enormous cherry tree is in full bloom and our sapling magnolia has produced two flowers this Spring!
Seems the passion climber didn't make it through the winter this year though, real pity.
Going to sort out the lavender and herb bed today.

Been thinking about this all morning.
There is a lot to unpack in this report, and it makes me feel sick, also because of my own sexual assault as a kid (by a stranger).
Patriarchal society; girls are taught their self-worth is measured by the male gaze, boys have an expectation that access to a girl's body is their given right.
I'm generalising, there is too much to unpack in a single mastodon post. I do not mean to offend anyone, I'm just upset.

@nprofile…65q8 I went down my own personal rabbit hole of research when I realised what it actually was that was happening to me. I'm afraid I've no recommendations for books though. My research was online.
I have written a couple of blogs on my experience with the hope of raising awareness.
It's really sad that it's so rarely talked about and there's very little research on it, considering it happens to ... well around half the population.

For my part, even though I'm in the just for fun category, I thank you for raising this. for getting people involved and for provoking thought.
I wonder how much desensitisation plays into it too. Sex bloggers at the top of their game are tooting about their blog many times a week, and I imagine a lot of people just switch off.

@nprofile…65q8 sounds like a building I used to work in. The coffee from the machines was not good, but the subsided coffee shop coffee was really not too bad. Every day people'd be collecting their coffee from Starbucks and such on their way in anyway. No delivery services back in those days.
They also had a hairdresser and a gym on-site, with a swimming pool that some intelligent muppet decided made perfect sense to place right above the server room :)

Except one recurring pic of my ass, cos I'm also a diehard rebel. And it's honestly not a sexy picture :)

Ahhh stressful meeting at work.

Left me shaking, teeth chattering and with a mess of fallout of stuff to do that needs to be done asap.
Since I stopped working I've gone into an absolute frenzy of nonstop activity.
It was was only during the frantic writing of my third personal to do list that I realised what I was doing and forced myself to stop.
