Also, the UK have recently shown conclusively that they cannot be trusted to adhere to any agreement or treaty, either refusing to implement what has been agreed or immediately trying to renegotiate. Being irresponsible, untrustworthy and consistently not acting in good faith has consequences.

Sort of makes sense since in most western countries soc/econ left/left and left/right parties are common and enduring, but parties that are (or pretend to be) right/left are unusual and usually don’t last if they emerge.
Why these political parties are currently so popular is a little confusing to me. There’s a lot of instability currently, but this political anomaly can only hope to pretend to fix any of it as far as I can tell.

mijn buurtjes zetten hun twee (!) nokkievolle grijze kliko’s buiten en gaan vervolgens de rest van hun afval in de kliko’s van de buren proppen. Bijvoorbeeld de mijne, waar dan 1 vuilniszak in zit. Het zal allemaal wel normaal zijn.

Minimaal 2 jaar een chaotische nachtmerrie met huis, senaat, presidentschap én het hooggerechtshof onder MAGA controle.
Met dank aan de Fellow Americans die dachten dat ze recht hadden op meer en dat Trump dat voor ze zou gaan regelen.

Just like growth is infinite, efficiency can also be increased indefinitely*, so at some point in our bright and glorious future, only one person will do all the work and everyone else will be a billionaire.
That is why it is so simple to cut costs on services. Just tell them that they need to be more efficient. Work smarter, not harder, etc. Then lower taxes for the rich. The only true victims.
*(in models that are simple enough for policy makers to understand)

The people voting for Trump see him as one of their own, not despite of but because of who he is and how he acts, however frightening that may be.
They don't care about competence or accomplishments. They want a president that thinks and acts like they do to represent them in Washington. Nothing else matters.

We zijn echt een land dat bereid is om miljoenen uit te geven om te voorkomen dat iemand hoe dan ook, waar dan ook, ook maar één cent krijgt waarvan de gezagsdragers van mening zijn dat ze daar geen recht op hebben.

Die ondergrens is zo laag zodat er voor bijna elk nieuw project een vergunning moet worden aangevraagd en er dus ook een nette impactberekening moet worden uitgevoerd. Dat is zo omdat er in Nederland in natuurgebieden geen millimol meer bijkan door onverstandig beleid in het verleden.
Ik vermoed dat er in Duitsland nog land, water of lucht te vinden is die binnen de normen valt en natuurgebieden die niet op kiepen staan. Dat hebben we in Nederland al heel lang niet meer.
