i’ve told this story before but i was thinking about it today and it always makes me chuckle.
2010, in the midst of the troublesome icelandic volcano, i’m at seatac boarding a flight back to LHR.
at the time of departure, LHR had actually just had to close again due to the ash, but it was expected to clear in time for arrival, so the captain announced that we’d depart, the intention would be to go to heathrow, but if it didnt reopen as planned, they were carrying extra contingency fuel to either hold or go somewhere else.
a lady boarding in front of me was on the phone with someone in the UK letting them know what was up.
“I’ll call you when we are about an hour out and we know where we’re landing.” She said.
“Strange”. I thought to myself. How’s she gonna call from the plane? But then she explained to whomever she was in contact with..
“Yeah…yeah I can call, I just got a new phone that has airplane mode.”

i watched SNL UK. As a dual citizen of both nations with SNL's, I found it an interesting proposition.
First of all, Wet Leg as musical guest - solid choice. I love Wet Leg so, was never going to be upset with it.

my two 3d printers are now at the point where they both have various issues that need to be addressed, so i have come up with a plan:
hotend replacement for printer 1 arrives today
install that and use printer 1 to print a new fan shroud for printer 2
replace fan shroud for printer 2 and hope that does it

Very basic but it does the job reasonably well, you just feed it API keys for Twitter/Reddit/Google (the services I monitor with it) and then I also have it post alerts to a slack channel via webhook.
Set the keywords in the keywords array, cron run it every 15 mins.

@nonlinear i have mixed feelings too
have done BIMI for the last few years and mainly i do it so our users (internal and external) have an extra visual indicator that something is lining up with DMARC/SPF - and also just to stand out a bit.
But yeah, it’s expensive and I wish Microsoft supported it as well so I knew most of our customers were seeing the benefit.
