an oddity of writing a lot of #wikipedia biographies of colonial era Chinese Indonesians, I end up always tagging the articles as WikiProject China, WikiProject Netherlands, and WikiProject Indonesia, since they were subjects of Imperial (and later Republican) China even if they had never been to it. they were subjects of the Netherlands in a different sense (subject to their law, but not citizens), and also of Indonesia and resident in Indonesia.

Call me pedantic but I almost never find it good when people tinker with #wikipedia categories about internment camps, political prisoners and concentration camps. I never hear about them until they're already done. The person said internment is jargon and means the same as imprisonment which I disagree with. 🤷‍♂️

heard that #Indonesia has blocked Grok and demanded a clarification from X. I don't generally agree with ID's internet censoriousness but this is one that should be a no-brainer for any jurisdiction.
can any #Indonesian on here clarify what the mechanism is for the block? Just the Grok account on X? Just curious, people are asking on bluesky and it's not explained in the articles.
