For me, it was a number of factors that led to the decision.
For one, I couldn't escape the feeling that I was a slave to the algorithm and struggled to moderate my time spent there.
Beyond that, I often found myself disappointed when I came to nostr and felt there was a lack of posts I cared to read and interact with. I decided to be a part of the solution to my own problem, and dedicate more time here.
While I miss some of the macro content that I used Twitter for, I am happy to have such wonderful macro thinkers as @npub1k7v…c04l, @npub1a2c…w83a, and @npub1cj9…0efa posting more significant macro trends and thoughts here on a semi-regular basis.
Ultimately I don't regret my choice. It freed me to a degree from the moderate addiction that Twitter had become for me, allows me the ability to custody my own social persona, and offers me an opportunity to put more of my time towards the form of social content that I wish to see more of in the future.

Fwiw, I like Aqua for consolidating small non-kyc amounts.
I don't want utxos under 2M sats, and I also want some form of privacy.
So I send my small chunks of non-kyc coin to Aqua where it's swapped into liquid, and then once I have enough sats, swap it back to L1 and move to cold storage.
This way the relationship between utxos in and utxos out is obfuscated, and I like to think it preserves some privacy, breaks the traceability for those I've acquired the sats from, and allows me to keep my utxo sizes responsible.

It's Fold.
$100 annual membership fee for the premium tier, but offers no fees on purchases (there is a ~$200 spread) and higher rewards on gift card purchases.
This tier also allows you to get bitcoin back on ACH payments (terms apply).
So "no fees", but I still consider it to be a good service and value it as part of my financial workflow.

I like the simplicity of it, but maybe you could add a function where if you tap on a note, it expands to provide additional text.
So you could either just use it for notes in its current form, or use the L1 list as note titles, and click to expand to view the note content.

I only have one proposal at present.
I'd love the option to set the apps to populate from the bottom.
I only have my most used apps pinned (~10), and having them positioned towards the bottom of the screen would make them more accessible without having to reach up so far to tap them.
It's a small thing, that wouldn't really benefit anyone with more apps pinned in AppCore, but would make for a smoother flow for someone who is keeping things minimal.

I really enjoyed this message Margot. While I admit there may have been a few knee-jerk reactions to terms used in somewhat more broad and encompassing ways than I am used, I appreciated your call to action.
While I might argue that we don't live in a purely capitalist state (I'm sure you might agree), we are trending towards the singularity where technologically-driven deflationary abundance clashes with our inflationary monetary system and the scarcity mindset our species has held for its entire history.
I don't know where we end up past that point, be it a "communist" post-scarcity Star Trek-esque system where the means of production are collectively owned as profits have fallen to the marginal cost of production (or simply that no one has any need of profit...), or a slave state where centralized surveillance ensures this abundance does not reach the average man.
Either way, at present, the Fed ensures that abundance does not "trickle down" to those who need it most, by silently robbing them of their purchasing power.
Bitcoin is the bridge that reconnects the common man to the bounty of technological deflation.
And nostr? Well, if we want to have any hope of joining together and having a say in what future we wish to inhabit, we will need communications channels that cannot be shut down.
Free speech is the way we find consensus on the future and the way we, as average people, progress towards it.
I've written far more than I intended, so I will end this by just saying thank you. Thank you for the time you have put into this, and for the courage to share the way you see the world, even knowing that others may oppose it. We need to he challenged, enlightened, and provoked to grow and find consensus.
