Regarding AI tagging for tracks and release.
We believe that the best use case we just covered is tagging RSS music. It appears that platforms like Wavlake don't seem to tag AI music appropietly or ask their users to disclose such content. As a result we have flood of AI content in RSS music and ordinary listeners just our apps quit more often.
As Nostr music community we can play major role at labeling AI content resposnsibly and helping artists to cut through the noise.

Nice, if we understand correctly on v4vmusic it's done through tags which are stored in v4vmusic itself. And anyone can edit those tags, @nprofile…5hgd you can confirm but it can be destructive cause we just updated tags for a couple of songs and nothing stopped us.
Difference with NIP-32 tags that they live on Nostr (not on our infrastructure) so they are available for anyone. Also we support counter tags to mark things as people content in case someone maliciously or mistakenly tags tracks.
It means that any music client can support ai tags just by quering Nostr!

We've added support for Shorts and Videos!
It's following NIP-71 https://nostrhub.io/71 so any videos published will be available to all other Nostr video clients!
Over next days we will be integrating display of videos into tracks and profile pages. As well as updating main page with the new layout.
Call for artists is to try out video publishing! It will massively help to test and develop features like queues, swapping between audio and video when listening, etc.
Please note that for these videos are related to tracks (so you can have many per track) but there's still main track video added as part of music track itself. Please provide feedback on how to make it more obvious and easy to manage.
Share it with your fellow artists and let's get music videos on Nostr going!

In our humble opinion Nostr is a way better protocol to communicate and exchange information as it's events based and very dynamic. RSS is static content which always needs to be queried and scanned.
We feel that best analogy is that RSS is like posters on street boards, distributed, owned by people but always needs collecting and Nostr Music is more like radio where everyone can tune in. From engineering perspective benefits are vast. In time will see what's best. In the meantime we see if we can combine the two.

Yes, with a caveat if this service follows a bunch of standards like NIP-96 or NIP-B7. It would be amazing if you try adding a server then trying to upload new track to see if it manages to upload to your server or it fallsback to default ones.

Sunami Studio got a fresh look and Media Library!
Please take time to explore how media files are used in your tracks and releases!
IMPORTANT:
This feature allowed us to fix a bug where we were uploading files to all blossom servers but only actually using one server when publishing music. Now it uploads to first server in the list.
We'd encourage to review "Unlinked Files" section to see if there's some unused or duplicate files which can be cleaned up. Bear in mind that if you've uploaded files to blossom.band and nostr.download with other services they would appear in Unlinked Media tab as well.
Any feedback is welcome!
Additionaly, please send us blossom servers people use so we can add support for them since they tend to use slightly different auth methods, especially when it comes to paid services.

It’s a mix of Nostr Music and RSS. This band is found via RSS. Search is very slow for RSS right now and Nostr may not have enough music so bad search is expected.

@nprofile…9369 there's a limitation on our current infrastructure on how we process RSS data so we can't always resolve profiles from tracks. Hopefully in the future it'll be solved but for now usual RSS discovery path is track -> release -> artist -> other releases.

For context we've been testing on relatively high speed internet with different VPN locations.
We wonder if it's geografical as we noticed some odd display of images on different continents.

191-192 is pretty rough! 256 is probably the least we would expect nad 320 kbps feels like a standard. Ideally RSS feed would have two files, one for streaming and one high quality so that client can decide what version they would like to play. If Tidal offers hi-fi sound so we can do the same.

Power of Nostr is that anyone can link profiles and npubs. RSS is a headache cause every service needs to create artist profiles.

1) Creating track actually publishes it (we've just updated button names so it make more sense). Then you need to assemble your release from published tracks.
2) Good point. We will clarify how to choose format. Maybe in the future we'd offer conversion or uploading files in different qualities: streaming and high quality.
3) We don't yet have a good answer for this. It's likely that Fountain would use either feeds GUID. Fountain seems to use a very unusual way to create artist pages. Some artists reported getting 500 error for their profiles. This the challenge with RSS cause unlike Nostr there's no identity or profile assosiated with RSS feed and artists can have multiple RSS feeds. So every platform has to figure its own method. There's GUID used by Podcasting 2.0 apps but not all RSS feeds seem to have it. Sorry it doesn't answer your question but at least provides some context on why it's not trivial.
AFAIK Artists usually need to give some hint to TuneCore and DistroKid on Spotify profile. We've also seen instances when there's artist name clash (mainly for less known artist) so it's also not ideal in legacy world. Probably Spotify has content management team which looks after any outliers.

2) We support WAV, FLAC, OGG, MP3, M4A and don't really convert music files. By default music is uploaded to Blossom (Nostr Content) service and you can configure custom servers if you have preference. At the same time you can just reference link to your file of it's hosted somewhere.
3) You can upload via Sunami purely to Nostr Music. So no duplicating of confuing RSS feeds by default. If you want you can enable RSS on demand and submit to Podcastindex which will make it appear everywhere.
Let us know if it can be done in a more user friendly way.
