well they're not really YAP themed, the song I'm referring to is just about... in my opinion.. being a child and living years of not realizing you're being molded to be something you're not, to realize you can change and there's many ways to. I remember when I was 17 or so, I was looking over a consent form that required a parent's signature and consent in order for teens to consent. Remember looking up something like "why tf can't teens consent to their own shit anyway?" And then I get some search results that say that teens are not considered mentally capable making their own decisions. Broke down that day. Months of buildup. When you enlighten yourself over how kids and teens are treated you start seeing it everywhere, because it is. The ageism is so obvious and so rampant. It is in display in almost every media piece and in real life. What used to be nothing to you since everyone called you and treated you as someone inherently inferior as a younger person anyway is now something you can't escape from and can't help noticing. Youth inequality inherently hurts youth.

I feel bad for any kid that's born from an anti. For their brains and their health in general.. physical, emotional, and mental.
That's why we all need to strive and to fight for a better world, so that youth can be free from the government and their parents and can choose their way of life. Noone's property. They can choose who they want to be with or live with or not, provided they know what to do and they're ready. You can't care for someone while also wanting them to not have any experiences or learn anything. Age segregation doesn't work, restrictions don't work. Teaching does. Being a good person and treating youth like an equal does. Nothing about being considered second class is a good thing.

I realize that most people don't really remember or find their childhood years very memorable but for me even though my memory is absolute shite I still almost vividly remember my elementary school years and the kids I interacted with. What adults don't realize about kids is that kids do have a "secret" world of sorts. Well it was actually one of my family members who took these pics hehe but no I made them during a rather... darker time of my life. I wanted to express my creativity so like I just made them because I at the time was only and purely motivated to do it, like driven by a motor. Oh I always thought that puberty ended after a certain point...like when your body stopped developing or something. But that makes sense. "Grooming" doesn't make sense even if oftentimes it just means seducing, flirting with, talking to, or courting a younger person. If we're referring to manipulation in general then we don't need to use "grooming", just use manipulative or toxic... if we're referring to teaching, that would probably make more sense or honestly the word teaching already works. Whenever anyone uses grooming to mean interacting in any way with a younger person and you really think about the term does it really sound right to you? If youth are equal to legal adults then just interacting with them in general or being in a relationship with them shouldn't be confused with grooming. We wouldn't use grooming if both people were of similar age talking to each other.

Sexuality doesn't harm kids. Shame, internal stigma, guilt, people's negative reactions to it and society's prevailing youth-exclusionary attitudes do. That shit only leads to kids growing up feeling ashamed of themselves...their desires, their bodies. Or ashamed of others. Or judgy. Or repulsed and disgusted by sex. Deprived of proper sex education. So many of us grow up so horribly misinformed of sex and our bodies or made ignorant. God even after masturbating I didn't even know what a clit was or where mine was for years. Or the fact that I have two holes or that funny feeling I thought was a weird horny sensation but was actually a UTI.
We need to bring real sexual freedom of choice, education (e.g. teaching contraceptive methods, reproductive methods, how to know when/if you're ready, body anatomy) and pleasure and love back to the world. For EVERYONE! Sexuality isn't just limited to legal adults.

So Sly boy released another video about us and in turn netted Mapsupport and possibly some other instances several new users. If pedi is reaching paras and allies, that's wonderful.. similarly to this Tantacrul made a video on SanctionedSuicide which actually backfired on him and brought in a ton of users who needed the safe space and resources. However, while this attention could be bringing in people with positive intentions, this also means this could be bringing in those who want to hurt us and unfortunately unlike SaSu some of these people could be pretending to be paras or supporting of us otherwise. Things to look out for and do?
- Be wary of new users with no PFP, no followers or is only following people, no posts or bio. If they do have a bio or post(s), they may include tags like #aam #pedo etc despite being new to pedi; this could be bait.
- They ask you for information on other instances and how to sign up for them. This isn't always a bad thing but still be careful.
- You receive a PM requesting certain 👀 content or very personal info...
- You get a follow or message req from someone on an untrusted instance like eiental.org etc or for Element users a message from a homeserver like matrix.org.
- Set your profile follow reqs as "followers only" if possible. Lock sensitive posts behind a follower only filter. Vet any new or existing followers.
- Don't post your personal information or anything incriminating.
Even if the user checks all the right boxes, use your best judgement anyway. Be vigilant, don't be reckless, but don't be afraid to be yourself and share what you want ^^ this is just a rough lil thing right now but I may add more if I can think of any

Another thought... when antis say kids can't consent, antis are effectively saying their yeses are meaningless in general. No one gets to decide who can consent or not, the consenting person themselves do. Most young people for example don't consent to being beaten by their parents. Some of the AAYs here including me were attacked and doxxed by antis for liking older people and/or being in an age gap relationship or supporting paras. I know of an old classmate who was mocked for having a 20-something boyfriend. In my similar experience at my old workplace some girls spread a nasty rumour that I was being "abused" because of my being with my older boyfriend. One of my bfs old friends (thank god) called me stupid and dumb because I moved in with him. Said I was just a child blah blah blah. I was 18 those times but still... how is any of that supposed to help anyone?
4. Antis tend to be abusive emotionally, physically, and mentally
That one guy who said he hates pedos? Children "can't" be loved? He spanks his children as punishment even though they begged him not to. That woman who got a YAP fired at work? She never hugs her children and tells them that their problems are nothing. They're just kids. And I knew some ppl in my school school who joked about beating children and ofc didn't support them getting their rights or anything. In a B4U-ACT study I believe, it's reported that YAPs tend to be more empathetic towards youth than the average person.

Btw I do use YAP (Youth-Attracted Person) and AAY (Adult-Attracted Youth) rather than MAP because well... I wasn't a "minor" too long ago and minor is to me just a very demeaning word, meaning lesser than; insignifiant. Sure it's just a legal term but it's the law and society's way of labeling under 18s as inferior compared to the good ol wise adults that "know everything and know what's best for those dumb kids" I also refuse to label teenagers as adolescents because adolescence is an arbitrary social construct. It is NOT a biological phenomenon, rather it is social. There is only childhood and adulthood, no in-betweens.
